I am just wondering what others think about raising the amount of words needed to get the green jersey points. What I mean by this is that right now a 30 word post will get you a post for that, but that is REALLY easy. I mean, look at posts on the bored. Most of them are over 30 words, and look at the stats for the green. We have people hitting 20-30 posts in that hour by just using a bunch of 30 word posts. I think the number of posts for that jersey should stay in a fight in the high teens low 20's maybe. I would think that raising the amount of words needed to get a post counted to that should be raised. I don't know how much, just I think it should be above 35. What do you guys think? Should it change or stay there?

   I assure you other users of Vizzed disagree with this because they are selfish, but I am not similar to that. I enjoy challenges. Also, I do agree with your statement. It is not fair to other users who do not have the time to post online Vizzed. I have seen someone with twenty-four posts within one hour. I mean, the is ridiculous. Considering the rules and regulations are set to this, I would take advantage of it if it is available to us. I mean, wouldn't you? If it is changed, I would not have an issue. It would be harder for other users. I guess fifty or sixty words is an acceptable numeral, but if Davideo7 wants less spammy posts and to actually make it more competitive, I would honestly believe one-hundred words is even more acceptable. Although it is simple, I would want to be much more difficult. Although Razor had gotten the Green Banner, that is nice. He is a quality poster and I am surprised he was able to do that, considering he has a way with words. Nice job, Razor!

Well Bara the 30 word post thing seems appropriate to me .. I remember last time I had a 29 word post .... just one more to beat David .. one more post .... and at the last minute when It mattered most ... I made a 29 word post and lost :3 . The 30 word posts thing adds some tension to it ... not something that you can just get willy nilly .. something you work for . BUT lots o people might spam to get there posts upoto 30 words .... so there is a downside ... the more characters required the more spamming will be likely :3 

Well, I do got to tell you, people is still going to spam, no matter if it's 1 word, 30 word, or 10,000 word minimal, people is still going to spam for the green jersey no matter how many words so I don't think it really matter on the outcome.

So, in a way, to my point of view, I think it should stay at 30 words mostly because what's really the point though, but I wonder what the other staffs think on this though.

It should be higher. I am fed up of seeing a swarm of short crappy little spam, you get that a lot and that is how people manage to reach the 30's. I got to 21 today with only one post in the 30's. The majority of them were above 80 words and some over 150.
You can not get detail in a 30 word post. You can only make your point, no explaining, no detail. The only exception I have is if you are asking something or answering a question requiring a straight forward answer.

So if it were to change I would raise it to 50+.

It shouldn't be higher. Hear me out first for my reasoning. Brevity is the soul of wit. If I can clearly say my message in 30 words why use 50?

Barathemos : I was actually thinking about this at the conclusion of the last TDV, it's just too easy, I suggested that the count should be increased to 50 words.

I think it should be raised. It would bring a lot more of a challenge into the competition and I would find it really fun and energic! I love challenge and I love being full of energy.. I think that the ones that say it shouldn't just don't want to try a bit harder as of 30 word posts are EASY.

I can't help but think that NOBODY is going to read what the thread starter has to say if this were to be implemented. They would probably just look at the title of the thread and its description and type away 35+ (or heck, 50 for those who suggested it) words worth of post just to make it in the hour.

Granted, that does happen now. But it would happen more often.

In my opinion, I don't really mind raising the word limit for the Green Jersey. It would be a nice challenge, even though I am not a very fast typer and sometimes reread what I type before I post. Then again, there would still be spamming going on, that I believe....
