I have played a couple of versions of this game but I didn't really like it to much. I tried quite a few out but it never really fit my style of gaming. It was a little fun but that is really all I have to say for it.

I do, but I have never played the first 2 games. I have only played the 3rd game. I still enjoy it though, I like riding the rides, and building giant roller coasters. Its amazing how graphically impressive it is. The game can place 100s of people on screen at once with slowing down your computer (at least my 2008 gaming PC) granted the people have an extremely low polygon count but that's not the point. These games have great gameplay, and I would rather play this then any other manager game.

I still play it.  
I have both RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and 3.  I think that 3 is good if you want to see what the coaster is like to ride.  2 is good for making coasters, and getting the results.  
I tend to use 3 more than 2, and make my coasters in 3.  Although I have also made them in 2 and then imported them over to 3.
I also like the idea that you can make Firework, Laser and Water shows in 3.  As well as design your own, for each type.  I have a small number of Fireworks, on another site, where they can be downloaded.

I have heard about this game, and I have played all 3 RollerCoaster Tycoon games, and I do happen to own RCT 3, but I haven't really played it for a really long time, it may have been since 2010 that I have played a RollerCoaster Tycoon game.

I own the first one and I've played it quite a bit. It's more fun to build a huge park until there's no more space to purchase. The biggest park I have now makes about $5,000-$7,000 per second. If I can recall correctly, the first two games don't use accelerated 3D.

Yeah, RCT is great. I loved playing RollerCoaster Tycoon Gold which you can get on GOG.com. The gameplay is awesome, the graphics are serviceable, and there is a ton of fun to be had.

I've thought about it, but I'm afraid that I might be disappointed with it, since I'd be comparing it to Theme Park, rather than judging it on it's own merits. Also the name puts me off a bit. It sounds like the Roller Coaster is the main focus, whereas I would want the park managing and various attraction making to be the main aspect of it.

I was always a Roller coaster tycoon junkie since the first. IMO RCT 2 and RCT 3 are both amazing games. Kind of hard to pick which is better since it really is 2 totally different styles of view and game play. So to each their own, most def a game to check out.
