True. A personality question would probably be best. Then we could ask if they have played mafia on Vizzed as a lead in question unless what else we find out leads to something else. I'm definitely keeping my question in mind though. I guess favorite video game might be our best option now. I'm still a little leery of that question though. It worked out the first time but the killer could dance around the question this time around.

It kills the point of the game if the murderer isn't honest.

The question is straight forward.

"What is your favorite video game."

If they half answer it, and/or say something like their 2nd favorite game, they are in essence breaking the rules of the game.

I fail to see how they could possibly dance around such a straight forward question, while remaining within the rules of the game.

If the game is in a series, it could be their favorite of that series but not their favorite overall.

I don't think I have to say what my favorite video game is, lol. It's already in my username. However, this question will narrow down the field a lot assuming that the murderer doesn't suddenly decide to change his/her mind about their favorite game right after we ask him/her.

The question isn't "What is your favorite series?" The question is "What is your favorite video game?"

It is singular, meaning there can only be one. Meaning if they choose 2 or 3, because of a series comment, that they are breaking the point of the game.

This question is meant to be an end all, something cut and dry, and to the point.

There can be very little dancing around something as direct as this.

I can see several ways for the murderer to dance around this question: That is, if the murderer does not have a favorite video game, if the murderer has multiple favorites, or if the murderer has recently changed favorites.  I, for one, have two favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy 2, and TLoZ: Skyward Sword.  My favorite series is the Megaman Battle Network series, but that is inconsequential when determining the favorite game.  When I was younger, my favorite video game was the one I was playing the most.  I liked the game I played the most the most.  So if we get a funny response, like a unique game from the RGR, that may be a red flag that the user in question is a younger user.

Now that the point has been brought up, I think that favorite series would likely just as, if not more, conclusive than favorite game.  For example, Frodlex's favorite series is BlazBlue, if I'm not mistaken, but his favorite game...I dunno.  We could ask both questions: One the first go round, and the other the second go round.  For the sake of the popular vote, and to make sure we get our question across, I'll vote for the favorite video game again.  But I believe we should ask the other question should this not prove conclusive, or if the game in question throws suspicion on a particular person.

The question "What's your favorite video game" has won the majority request. The murderer is currently pending an answer. Soon as I get one, an update will appear.

The question was considered to a degree of possibly a new direction. As they considered a way to ask a question, Chewedmint, dvkbuddy10623, and knockout575 escaped the asylum, but that didn't phase too many people in the room. Then legacyme3 went "Why change anything? If we got the previous guy in one hit, let's use the same question." After some arguments, it was submitted anyway. Here's murderer #2's response.

I don't care who the murderer is anymore. You lose Leggy Points for liking such a mediocre franchise.

Well logic would dictate to check who OWNS BO2 using Vizzed's Video Game Room.

And the only person on this list who owns it on any system (according to Vizzed) is earthwarrior.

So he's my prime suspect, but I won't be voting (yet). I also suspect a few other people (like mlb789) who I know play games like Call of Duty.

EDIT - I actually messed up. mrfe ALSO owns the game according to Vizzed. So mrfe AND earthwarrior.

Call of Duty? These killers play games that I dislike. First Pokemon, and now call of duty. My goodness. This is heresy. Does anyone here like the games that I like?

Back to the matter at hand...I do think that finding out who plays Call of Duty is important, but we also have to focus on who DOESN'T play Call of Duty to reduce the number of suspects. I like Leggy's theory, but whoever the murderer is probably prefers the Xbox 360 or PS3 as their favorite console. So we know what system they more than likely prefer, and judging by their favorite game, they probably like the shooting genre. So we have to find out who has one (or both) of those systems, likes shooting games, and plays Call of Duty. This is going to be way harder than Pokemon X/Y.

I don't think we can eliminate earthwarrior on an assumption, nor can we take anyone's word at face value if they say they don't like CoD. Only posts made before the start of this game are really credible, as they'd have nothing to gain by lying.

We can eliminate very few people here who detest Call of Duty, so while I don't disagree with eliminating people, I do think we can focus better if we focus on who DOES like it in this case.

I really don't think it's likely mrfe's favorite game is CoD: BO2.  After all, he is Mr. Fire Emblem.  But earthwarrior...I dunno.  I think that could be a viable possibility.  For now, my vote is for earthwarrior.  If anyone can present any evidence that could get me to change my mind, please do so.

Black Ops 2 is my least favorite Call of Duty by far. Black Ops 1 was fun to an extent but 2 was pretty bad. I can't imagine anybody outside of the filthy casual world calling it their favorite game.

Looking at earthwarrior's previous posts, he has stated in this thread that Call of Duty was his favorite first person shooter. It doesn't define which CoD, but it means that he likes it above any other shooter.

Earthwarrior gets my vote.

In addition to earthwarrior, I know that mlb has it as well (I used to play with him). However, he plays Ghosts these days so I doubt Black Ops 2 is his fav.

I'd have to agree with leggy on this round. I also think it's a mediocre franchise. I have nothing against it but I'm not camping outside the store to by the next one. I'm leaning toward earthwarrior for this one but I'll give him a chance to defend himself before I vote.

If it isn't earth it's mrfe, even though I'm fairly sure it's mrfe.  Let me put it out there that Ghosts is a much better game than BO2 and my playing time on it justifies it.
