hello i am trying to beat the main story in pokemon (Fire Red) and I need some advice on how to beat the elite for my team is kinda odd but so far it has worked pretty well but i tryed to beat the elite for and i failed then i tryed to beat the elite four by puting ther pokemon to sleep with my venusaur and then attacking with my charizard my team is :lv.47 venasor,lv.42 charazard,lv.41 lapris,lv.39 dodrio,lv46 machoke and a lv 34 snorlax wat shoud i do

I would do my best to counter each one of the Elite four leaders main type out with one of my Pokémon
I.E if the Elite four member is fighting use a flying Pokémon to do x2 damage to all of his Pokémon.

Also using an Exp. Share is very nice when you need to focus on leveling up one Pokémon.

Pretty good team so I would suggest going back to Victory Road and just leveling them up because it is a little low leveled for the elite four battle.
 
 You do not need to level up Machoke but you really need to level up snorlax and maybe Dodrio.

I would also level up your Pokemon. I would say all to lv.42 so that way it can still be challenging but you won't pull your hair out over it.

I would find the nearest shop, buy items that boost stats for your Pokemon like potions, level up your Pokemon on Victory Road, and study each of the Elite Four's Pokemon to find their strengths and weaknesses.

I would level them up to at least level 40 or 42 and then I would do what pixel suggested and then stock up on potions, restores and helpful items and things that can boost their stats up a bit. I would also use an exp share as well so you can level up faster. 

So firstly, go to victory road, level up and then stock up on those helpful items, I would say get about 15 super potions just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps you defeat the elite 4.

Well hun I ran into a similar problem. I restarted and overlevled my Pokemon ... by time I was at the Elite four my Pokemon were all lvl 61 so I beat them and my rival with ease. Now you don't have to start over but just train at Victory road OR you can use  you VS Seeker to find trainer s you battled already. As long as Your Pokemon are over Leveled then you are bound to win. And type advantages help too.
