Really worried about YouTube's copyright claims. I could get banned for doing Let's Plays. I personally think this is all stupid, but that's only my opinion. This could get really dangerous for Vizzed and David Aumpamach(Did I spell that right?)'s channels getting taken down because of copy right issues.

What's your opinion on this?

Well, I personally hate it. I hate that they didn't send out ANYTHING about this, gave us NO information on it, and now we're supposed to deal with it all of a sudden. The fact that they didn't even tell us outright how it would work ALSO irks me.
Yes some people are going a little bit over the top with their reactions over this stuff, but it doesn't change the fact that this an automated system. Automated systems are machines, a bunch of code, THEREFORE they have no judgement on anything that gets near the legal line. They don't even contact the companies that are supposedly claiming all the videos. The system is doing it for them...

I just really hope this thing can get improved to a MANUAL system at some point. (sorry for the rant, but this is something that's just been causing me a bit of worry lately, which is odd since I don't even make money off my videos :/ )

I do believe you should definitely continue creating let's play videos of Youtube. I mean, the only reason Youtube is extremely active nowadays is actually because of these types of video, similar to what zanderlex had mentioned. Also, why would Youtube warn you for creating let's play videos. I mean, if you are recording videos from the Retro Game Room, what are you STILL doing incorrectly? I mean, these video games were actually once mass produced themselves, so why should you get into trouble?

Basically they are going to stop people who are making money from gaming videos since they don't own the rights.

All this means is you can not monetize your videos (putting ads on them) unless you can fund the company's yourself or to have a company to do it for you. 

You may think at first this will hard to get to with Machinima and IGN but there is an easier option. There is a company called TGN which will accept anyone who has 1,000 views in total over all of their videos which should be pretty straight forward. There are no other requirements for the basic package which means you can legally have adds on your Let's plays.
