I've actually caught every legendary Pokémon ever in existence. Including in this game. I've caught Zapdos, Articuno, Moltes, Mewtwo, even Ho-oh, Lugia, and Deoxys which are the special wi-fi event Pokémon. And I caught all of them except Deoxys with only a pokeball

This is my first runthrough of Pokémon Fire Red, and I got really excited when I saw Zapdos and heard the higher pitched legendary battle theme while fighting it(which later led to frustration of having it at 1 HP and not being able to catch it with an Ultra Ball, then a mixture between amazement and confusion on how my friend caught Zapdos with only a Great Ball)!

I actually have Pokémon Fire Red and Ruby, but Pokémon Ruby is borrowed by my friend right now.

The Mother of Mother 3 : Yeah sometimes legendaries refuse to go into the pokeballs of any sort. In Emerald for me for example I couldn't catch Rarqazua (forgive the failed spelling) with just a pokeball. I had to use 13 pokeballs, 14 great balls, and 21 ultra balls just to catch it. Now that I've caught all the legendaries it's time to work on Shiny Legends. I actually already have Shiny Suicune

I got my balls on all of the in game legendary pokemon in Fire Red. I didn't get my Fire Red until 2009 so I missed all of the event pokemon.
I used my mast ball on suicune because by that time I was really fed up of spamming ultra balls at legendary pokemon.

Well um .. I only Played Leaf Green ..... And I caught NONE ! I destroyed them with my  Charizard ( Articuno ) , my Aerodactly ( Zapdos ) and my Slowbro ( Moltres ) .. poor guys never stood a chance :3

Mr. Zed: Saving before fighting a legendary may come in handy next time!

Yeah, it's really easy to KO a legendary. I remember always resetting my GBA in frustration when I keep accidentally making a wrong move and KO'ing Zapdos.

   I have caught all three. The first I caught was Zapdos, and he was with me through the Elite 4 (before I stopped using legendaries). Later on I caught Moltres, and a few months after I was pretty much done with the game, I caught Articuno, which took much longer than the others did.
