I think this started after the last RGR plugin update, but I just really started to notice it more. Whenever I play a SNES game, it will lag a bit. I recorded a video for Mario RPG, but the video actually turned out ok. And NES games lag sometimes too, but it's much less frequent. What's weird is that bigger systems like N64 work perfectly fine (although the mupen emulator crashes right away). And this is on both Firefox and Chrome. Any ideas on why this is happening?

I've noticed this - and I don't really know what's causing it, but it seems to be fixed when I restart my browser. It might take a few restarts sometimes.

With Firefox you can tap the Shift and F2 keys to bring up the Firefox command line and then type restart and tap Enter key. Not sure if Chrome has similar feature though since I only use firefox.

Also, you may just need to end your plugin-container, and them try the game again. If you're using firefox bring up the Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc and finf the process plugin-container.exe and end it, or end all of them if you have more than one instance of it running.

With Chrome it's a bit different since Chrome has a separate process for everything.

tRIUNE : Still doesn't seem to be working. If anything, it's actually lagging more. Well, here's a recording of me playing Super Mario RPG while it was lagging. But the recording ended up fine. Not sure if that means anything.

I usually close the game page while recording and sometimes it is fine. That technique always works on NES games but the same won't always happen on SNES. Since the footage is fine afterwards then it should be fine. It is not the sort of lag where you skip frames so in away it could improve your gameplay if it is a game that requires any sort of precision though unluckily for you, you are playing an RPG.

patar4097 : Super Mario RPG is one of the laggiest games on the site. Mainly because it only really emulates well in one Emulator. (That I know of)

As far as your situation goes, I don't have those issues with NES or SNES, but I noticed that people report issues with SNES netplay.

If you are using Firefox, it might have something to do with the Flashplayer/memory leak issue that caused me to stop using Firefox when surfing Vizzed several months ago.
