Eat foods that contain 'staples'. Not a good idea. That will likely injure you. I think you might have meant something else. Only thing connecting the word 'staple' and 'food' is a staple food, which is just a food that is normally eaten in a quantity that is the dominant portion in the diet. Staples isn't something that the food contains. Unless you are literally talking about metal staples.....

Yeah, you should eat foods that are high in fiber and make sure that you drink lots of water (herbal teas are good as well) and avoid laxatives. Adding fiber foods to your diet isn't a bad idea, popcorn, nuts, and veggies are all good for that purpose. Also avoid foods that are high in fat content, as well as your dairy products, just decrease your daily intake of them. 


That is about as far as I know about helping out in this situation. I hope this helps your constipation if you or someone you know has it and made this thread for it. If not, well it is here for anyone who may have it XD
