Everyone knows the expression, "Don't judge a book by its cover."

Anyways, everyday you go about, judging everything you see...it's a way of nature. You see a man with dozens of tattoos all over his body, a dirty tank top, pants that sag, and a menacing glare, you'd think he was a tough guy, a gangster, "one with the streets". You stay away from him. If he was what you presumed he was, then your judgement may have spared you some trouble. But there two sides to everything. There may have been so many events in that guy's life that may have changed is outer appearance, but does that apply to his personality/character as well? He may not be such a tough guy, but dresses like one. 

So thinking about that, what do you hate being judged for? Your appearance? Does your outer look make you look like something you actually aren't? Does your physical appearance, like if you have some skin problems, birth marks, not straight teeth, etc, make others stay away from you (unfortunately)? 
That, in my mind, is very unfortunate if it happens to anyone. Someone may look "ugly" by society's standards, but that person may be a whole different person on the inside...caring, out-going, fun, gentle, etc, and not a loner, which is how others treat that person. 

Outer appearance is my answer to this question.

Although I don't like people judging the way I look, I really don't like to be judged off of my grades in school, some people look at me as too smart when in actuality I am just doing what is expected of me in all of my classes.  But yeah I think that what you said is going to be the most common answer. No one likes being judged by how they look or their appearance or the way they dress. I hate that about some people, they can degrade and tear a person apart just by saying something like that.  What seems like no big deal to someone might mean all the difference to someone else. Especially one with low self esteem. 

I think that is the perhaps the first and foremost thing that people do, is judge someone by their appearance, most of the time in a negative, degrading manner. Some things are just best unsaid. But I can agree that is the best answer to this question and I can already foresee a lot of people saying the same thing. 

For me.. This may sound silly but everyone always says im either stupid or mean because of my name (Kitty) and because im "pretty"... But this really is stupid sorry.

I'm a bit older so I don't get judged for clothes or how I look (even though that doesn't go away exactly) but I do get judged because I'm a man.  I'm male so I don't know anything about fashion, I am always looking to have sex with women even though I'm married, and I could never say no to anyone who wants to kiss me.  I only like sports and I don't help at home and I don't do anything to work on my relationship with my wife. I will not help with our future baby and I won't change diapers and I only want to drink beer and watch football on tv.  I hate shopping and I love the gym because I'm a muscle head and a lunk and they have alarms for me at Planet Fitness.

Or something like that.  I like proving people wrong and showing I'm multi-purpose and I can do it all.

Well I have a mohawk, a beard, I where tight camo pants, black leather boots, and a guitar pick on a chain ear ring (that I made). People think I am nasty (I do have kinda poor hygiene), or a thief or what ever they think, I don't know. I really don't care what they think but that is the one thing that I am judged for the most. I am happy with myself, I am what I am and I am proud that I am not just another clone walking around without a mind of their own. I don't hate being judged for it but it is bothersome to walk into a store and have the people working there follow you around and watch everything you do.

Interesting topic. I hate it when people judge me for my interests. Yeah, I'm highly interested in playing video games. I'm very interested in them. Yeah, I'm a nerd, but that doesn't mean I can't pull my own weight. I can do quite a bit.

I don't like being judged period. I especially don't like being talked about behind my back.. I don't do that stuff to you so why would you turn around and do that to me. Everyone judges people in life .. it's the way we humans react. We can turn right around though and not judge that person.. it's really horrible when you see people doing these things to each other. Nobody is perfect we all make mistakes. I think a lot of people do judge looks but you do find those people who love you for you.. not your looks. I am overweight.. and I do get judged because of it at times.. but those people have no right to do things like that. What matters is the inside.. and the heart of that person.

Stuff that doesn't matter. Religion, race, body, interests, etc. None of that matters. If you judge me based on my personality after you've known me long enough then go ahead; judge away. But nothing else.

I can't agree with Warmaker enough on the things he said. Those are some of the most annoying stereotypes and judgements that I have to put up with as well.

Next would be the music I listen to. Yeah, they scream, and yes, they're loud, but people have no right to look down on their fans because they don't like the music. Believe it or not, I get this a lot, I assume it's because I live in a more conservative area.

In all honesty, I am actually pretty ugly. Because of this, I am judged and people call me stupid (goes into something that I will say a bit later), clumsy, everything that the stereotypical ugly person is associated with. In all honesty, if you are to know me, I am actually pretty nice and friendly, although I'm really not to new people.

Also, getting judged with my grades. I don't have bad grades, just not that good grades. I am actually very, very smart, just really not that responsible in terms of homework.

This goes for practically guys, as people think we are swines, just "Oh football, smashing things, fights!" and know nothing about fashion and know nothing on how to behave. There are a lot of guys I know (including me) Which are practically the opposite of the stereotypical male.

To a lesser degree, because I am bisexual, when I tell people they think I just think about sex and who to have sex with. I rarely think about that, and I hate when people think that.

I'm usually judged by my looks/race. I am kinda your average Asian. We have our fair share of jokes in the world. In elementary school, I was kinda treated as a unknown person, despite knowing everyone and helping out. I really hate stuff people saying stuff like, "Are you Chinese?" or something like "Is China and Japan the same thing?" because the only thing I can think of is like "Really? Is that all you know?" All this rage from stereotyping continuosly builds up over a long time.

For my eyes . I have one of the weirdest if not thee most pair of eyes in the world. People see them and think I have pink Eye or Sickle Cell ...  And my height too. Its always " Do you want to be a basketball player ? " or " You should be a basketball player ! " ... My life . I do what I want to do with it.  Plus I am bad at basketball.

I hate being judged for political views. I don't think that simplistic one word labels can be used to define a person. When I say I think abortions are morally wrong I'm labeled a conservative. When I say that women should have the right to have abortions then I'm labeled as liberal. When in reality I believe both (using abortion only as an example, nothing more).

I hate being judged, by anyone for anything. I don't judge and neither should you. People judge me because of my weight, the fact I'm 18 and married, have piercings ect ect.. I've gotten good at ignoring people who judge me.

People usually see me as some sort of a thug that cannot have a civilized conversation. Or I don't know if they usually do but this is what half the people, after a civilized conversation tell me, like I am supposed to be impressed. I guess it is the appearance. I have not changed much with that in over ten years and nor want to since I am comfortable the way I am. Luckily there aint much of this "lets see how tough you really are" - crowd. Even those people you usually can talk too without having fisty cuffs. Did I grow older and bigger or has society changed but back in the old days I could get just punched and asked questions later.

I don't care what strangers think of me. Their problem, and I can't do anything about it, so why worry about it?
