Cars are merely tools, like hammers, axes, staple guns, and shovels.  They get you from point A to point B with minimum effort and time.  They're unsafe when people don't use them properly but otherwise they're fine.

I'm not afraid of cars and I don't understand why anyone would be afraid unless they were in a car wreck.

Well I know what you mean.. your probably scared of the thought of being run over by a car or just the dangers that a car can make. I would be to but I try not to look at the negative as much because you need a car most of the time for transportation anyways.

To be honest, I occasionally feel terrified of automobiles whilst crossing over a road of pavement. I have had too many near accidents of being hit by an automobile and even being driven over by one, too! When I am within an automobile, I feel safe knowing I am unsafe. Haha! Overall, I do not fear automobiles.

I'm sorry that you have a fear of cars. I'm sure that there are others who feel the exact same way, whether it be from a horrific car crash from his or her childhood, other traumatic memories, or a fear of cars from the first time (s)he saw them. 

I have fear for the life of myself, everyone I drive around, and others on the road. This type of fear is great since it keeps me vigilant and a defensive driver. I don't drive when I get less than four hours of sleep the night before. The consequences on the road last your whole life, so I don't want some small thing to end up creating such grave consequences.

I live in a big city and am very used to being in traffic. I hate driving and avoid it as much as possible. I am more scared of the people driving the cars because no one pays attention. Distracted drivers everywhere. It is very scary. People die every day because of cars.

It is frightening when you are walking a cross the road and you have to stop in the middle because someone shoots past you speeding, blaring their horn like it is all your fault. Stuff like that gets me on edge. In general I am a car person, I just cant be scared of them.

I was hit by a car back in 2007 on my way home from work on my bike. The woman ran a stop sign and hit me on my right side. I was wearing a helmet, but I was still pretty badly injured. So, yeah, when I'm crossing the street, I still get a little scared to this day. I tend not to cross at lights and stop signs now whenever possible, which I know sounds weird. I just have this irrational fear that it will happen again.

I've had and seen so many close calls by drivers that it's ridiculous. I'm not so much scared of the vehicles, just the people behind the wheel.
