Just curious about leveling up on vizzed.

Okay, so I have noticed something, like levels on vizzed, some users have a higher level but smaller posts but that is because they have a larger post exp and they are on a higher level than those that have more posts but lest post exp, is having a greater post exp more important to leveling up than just the amount of posts? Or is it because the more posts you make as you stay on the site longer will raise that post exp up? I am just a little puzzled over the matter on how leveling up works and having a higher exp yield per post. Like mine is 1745 or something like that and I have 4,130 posts but there are users on a higher level than me with less posts and a higher exp per post and I just wonder how it all works. 

So if someone could explain, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Yeah, it's basically all depending on the post count you have or the amount of words per post you have. The way I see it is the bigger posts you have, the higher chance to earning more EXP. It could be in another way as well, but that's how I see it progress.

Everything that pacman said is correct, but he forgot to say that the amount of time you have been on Vizzed affects it too. About a month ago, I had more posts and more post EXP than supernerd. However, supernerd was a higher level. That is because supernerd has been on Vizzed a lot longer than me.

I actually don't think the word count matters when it comes to those RPG levels. Post EXP (word count) is actually something that has only been around for about a year or so. The RPG levels were around since before I found the site. The RPG exp was completely determined by 2 things. The amount of posts you have, and how long you have been a user. The more posts you have, the more exp you get per post. The longer you have been a member, the more exp you get per post. I don't think David changed the system to include word count when Post experience was added as a feature.
