The source of all Youtube Poop. The worst and most laughed at zelda game in history. You guessed it- Link: the faces of evil for the Phillips CD-i. This game is terrible, with bad gameplay and...just terrible. It's the first (and I believe only) zelda game with voiceovers, and they did terrible with that. But, the cutscenes are so bad that they are hilarious. What are your experiences/thoughts with this game?

Popeye116 : The game is horrible, but the cut scenes are entertaining because of how bad they are. Honestly, maybe if the game didn't bear the Zelda franchise name, we might not hate it as much.

The other two games on the CD-i are just as horrible. Heck the one featuring Zelda is actually worse than the side scrolling titles.

Nintendo for some reason gave phillips permission to make a few games using Nintendo Characters. There was Hotel Mario which was a little addictive for a few minutes but then it became frustrating and then there was Link: The Faces of Evil. Yeah that piece of crap ruined the whole Zelda name!
The gameplay is awful. There are many buttons on a CD-i controller which they did not use, it was like this game was made for the Atari 2600! Going through doors and pausing the game are practically the same thing, doing one of the commands wrong can be really annoying. Say you want to pause the game in one of those dark rooms where you can not see anything and then you end up going through a door!!

The developers never did enough research into the Zelda series because it just looks like they just copied Zelda 2 and made it terrible and unplayable. I mean they got the rupee system wrong and is the only game in the entire Zelda series to have the rupees to be worth what they are as in this game.
