This is a thread where -+-you will tell me is you use Dictionary.com and the rest of those. They can be easier, so most people use them. Personaly, I use them A LOT. Also, what was the last word that you looked up? What was the defanition? Why did you look it up? Was it school related or did you just see a word and you didn't know what it meant.

Umm... no offense, but this kind of seems like a spammy thread. XD I mean, you're basically asking people for a yes or no answer. Might I offer a suggestion?  Instead of having people tell whether they use dictionary.com or any other web dictionary.... why not ask about the last word they looked up using one?  You can ask them what the word and definition was, and if they were looking the word up for spelling or meaning, etc....
1 Thessalonians 5: 13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Well, I've used it a few times before. I can't find the dictionary at my house. So most of the time I look it up on there.

I use dictionary.com quite a  bit. Me and some friends randomly look up words for my teacher to write on tests. For example, if you get 199% on a test, he will write "inimitable" or flawless. Just a fun thing I do to make school acceptable.

I like how hidden phantom just put the word am in there XD I thought that was pretty funny. The only time I will use it is when there is a word I really don't understand while I am reading something. I will generally just look it up and see what it means and decipher the context in which it was used in. Otherwise I don't look words up that often, just every once in a while when there is one that I come across and don't understand at all. But nevertheless I have used it before. Now as for the last word I looked up, I cannot remember  what it was XD

Not too much (anymore). I find myself using word reference websites for Spanish (words that I do not know and wish to use/incorporate in a sentence, etc).

Anyways, I actually use the "shortcut" define ____ . Google will define the word for you if you type define and then your word, like define pragmatic

I had a Western Civ. assignment, and a word we were required to look up was illumination. In fact, that was the last "term to identify". I am seriously wondering why he would make us look that up; seems out of place with the other words he told us to define (heratic, missi dominici, parish, tithe).

Western Civ. is really the only class that requires me to define terms (besides Spanish).

Ahh, and the definition.

Illumination: lighting or light

I have used it before but I usually just end up typing it into Google/Wiki. Alot of my questions or words are easily looked up like this. I also text ChaCha.. usually they give reliable answers.

No I don't. Try typing a long or difficult word into Google. If you type only the word, it often gives the definition. I find that much more simpler than looking it up on a separate website. I had checked out thesaurus.com and definitions from dictionary.com, so I have used it just not intentionally nor very often.

Yes, I use Dictionary.com to look up words sometimes. Even then, I don't directly visit the site if I have access to DuckDuckGo, because typing "[word] definiton" in it will bring up a neat box with the definition.
Things are not different; things are things.

Barathemos : The last word I looked up was pterodactyl. I found out it was an ancient bird. It was for the Spelling Bee and that was obviously for school related purposes because I wanted to know what it is.

So sometimes I do use Dictionary.com
