I am more into sports games on the NES than the games listed above.

This is a really tough decision but I had to break it down between Super Mario Bros 3 and Metroid.
Super Mario Bros 3 is a fantastic game yet it just doesn't meet with the extreme depth that Metroid had. In Metroid there is so much to explore you could play an one hour session only to realize that you have made no progress in the game other than a few power ups and energy tanks. The thing is, you just would get bored because it wasn't like things were repeating almost everything was new territory.
