Woohoo! You have successfully summoned someone... Great job! This is probably one of the most useful things you can utilize on vizzed, so don't be shy! I'm also going to send you 500 Viz for participating in the seven days of celebration.

So what is Viz useful for? Well, Viz (the site's currency) is used to play games, buy layouts, or purchase things from other users. Every time you play a game, it costs Viz. Its cost depends on its size; smaller games might cost 10 viz, while other games might cost 1,000 or more viz! You only have to pay for a game the first time you play it though. After that, you 'own' the game and get to play it for free.

You can even buy items from the item shop, located here. The site items allow you to save Viz in the long run. For example, if you buy the GBA item, you will be able to play all GBA games for free. If you buy the netplay item, this allows you to play co-op games with your friends.

The other items in the shop (weapons and armor, for example) are for a future aspect of the site that isn't created yet. Our wonderful owner, Davideo7, plans on implementing a battle arena where you can battle other site users. However, this feature is not yet developed, so buying such items will have no effect right now, other than to increase your battle stats and make your profile look pretty cool.

So if you're here to play games, you probably want to learn how to get viz, right? Well, there are TONS of ways to win bling bling, so that's what your next task is going to be all about. If you haven't noticed yet, you get 100 Viz every day just for logging in, but we're going to show you a few more ways to earn. This task has two parts you must complete:

1. Try checking out the vizzed market, here. In this forum area, other users sell things, buy things, and host contests for newbies like you to try and earn Viz. Find two threads where you can earn viz, and post in them! Not only will you get a chance at winning more viz, but you'll also be halfway through with this task!

2. For every quality post you make, you earn Viz. We don't want people spamming our board or cluttering it up, so you actually lose Viz if your posts are really short. Plus, if you post off topic, repeatedly make posts of 25 words or less, or post nonsense just to post.... you can be temporarily banned. Yikes! We don't want that to happen!

Go find FIVE threads in different sections of the forum and post in them. Vizzed is a well-rounded community, and we have areas for just about any topic. If you like to debate try this forum, or if you're interested in health try this forum. If you scroll all the way down, you can even see 'rented' forums where users paid Viz for a special topic. Interested in Sonic games? Christianity? Try here!

Make five posts in five different areas, and then come let us know that you've accomplished both tasks! Don't forget to summon me back!

Thank you for participating yesterday... here's 200 viz! You're probably well on your way to becoming a member now, but there's still time to celebrate your newb-iness! Thanks for posting in all those areas and letting us learn a little bit about who you are. We'd like to know you a little better, so today's task is pretty simple.

Remember that layout we sent you? Well, we're going to show you how to apply it, and we're also going to give you a little badge as a reward for completing the last task. This wonderful badge was created by Juliet, one of your local mods! You won't be able to apply the badge until you reach member rank, so don't delete the pm which contains the link!

Today you have two tasks.

1. Let's place your layout. (Already accomplished. Woohoo!) Layouts are the decorations that show up behind your text whenever you post. You can buy these, order custom layouts from shop owners, or create one yourself. However, we'll talk about that a little later. For now, we just want you to equip the one we already gave you. Go back to that link in the upper left that says "Edit Profile & Settings". When you click on that and scroll down a little, you should see a green link in the middle of the page that says "Edit layout". This is where you can access your layouts, buy layouts, make layouts, send layouts to other people..... it's basically the layout central station.

You should see the layout we already sent you if you scroll down. Click the word "Use", and you're done! Leave the layout equipped long enough for us to see it, and come summon us again to show off your new colors!

2. The second task is simple. We enjoyed seeing what you had to say, and we'd love to read more! Find two DIFFERENT forum areas to post in today. Remember that in order for this to count, you can't post in the same five areas that you did yesterday!

Not only can you contribute to vizzed (and earn viz) by posting in the forums, but you can add to the site in the retro game room (RGR) as well. Whenever you play a game, you can record videos, take screenshots, write reviews, rate the game, or even comment on the game page. Some of these actions will earn you viz, and some will earn you Viz AND Contribution Points (CP). Contribution Points are rewarded any time you do something helpful to the site, and they're a good measure of how active you are. If you ever want to be a vizzed staff member, getting lots of CP is a surefire way of showing your dedication!

You have three tasks to complete before you can get your next mission!

1. Choose any game that does NOT have any screenshots assigned to it. You'll know if it has no screenshots because when you scroll down to the screenshot area, none will be listed. Play the game and take THREE screenshots. You can take a screenshot by pressing F6. Nothing will happen while you're playing the game, so keep playing until you have all three! Make sure each is unique as well, so it doesn't look like you took three identical shots. 

After you close the game, scroll down to the screenshot area and hit "Click Here to Retrieve, Add or Update your Screenshots". A new window will open, and you can selected a category for the screenshot, then hit submit! When you assign and submit all three shots, just close that window. If you refresh the game page, you'll see your shots there!

If you have trouble finding games without screenshots, try browsing the MAME games until you find one that works. There are tons missing screenshots there!

2.Leave a comment on the game you took shots for. To do this, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the game page. You'll see an area for comments that looks similar to a shout box. Don't put anything spammy, like 'first', or 'I was here'. Tell us something brief that you liked about the game, or what it reminded you of, or something actually related to the game itself.

3. Now here's the hardest task you've been given so far. Write a review for the game. Below the area to submit screenshots, you'll see a link that says "Click Here to Submit a Review for this Game". When you click on it, a form comes up for you to fill out, and you'll have to post something about your ratings.

Keep this in mind though: All reviews should be at LEAST 100 words. If you don't write at least 100 words, the thread will be closed and/or moved... and you might pester some of the local mods by breaking the rule.

When you write a review, try not to just say "I liked it" or "I didn't like it." Tell us WHAT you liked (or didn't like), WHY you liked it (or didn't like it), and what the game developers could have done to make it better. The longer your review is, the more CP and Viz you will get. Just make sure it's of good quality!

Here's an example of a short and decent review, and here's an example of a much longer one for the same game.

When you've completed these conditions, summon us here and give us a link to the game(s) you completed these tasks for! We look forward to seeing what you do! (And don't stress if it takes you more than one day to complete! That's okay and we understand! Just summon us when you finish!)

I'm not sure if this is what you've meant, but here is my review...
After several hours of slashing through hordes of enemies, grinding for E-crystals and fighting all those tough bosses I'm ready to give my opinion on this great game ...
The first thing I would like to talk about is the graphics. The graphics may not be as vibrant as in the Mega man X series, but for a handheld they stand out as detailed, consistent and appealing to the eye.
As expected from a Mega man game the music is excellent! The soundtrack may not be as powerful as in Zero 3 or 4, but there are still some catchy tunes . The Japanese voice acting only adds to the appeal. Although this game is mostly text - based, the voices are still great.
Of course, everyone want's to know what the game play is like, right? The game play and the controls is where this game shines. It should come as no surprise that a Mega man game has solid controls and Zero 2 doesn't fail here either. The controls are are fluent, easy to understand even for beginners, and can be altered to mach the players taste. New features like the EX skills and forms will keep the game play from getting stale and can allow players to change their play style on - the - go. This game really keeps you on your toes when it comes to difficulty, the first stage forces you to get used to the controls and the fact that you can't make too much mistakes before you're taken out...
Mega man games were never known as easy and Zero 2 is no exception, so it's going to take a little patience to master this game .
I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of side - scroller action games or to those who are fans of the Mega man series in general.

That was quite a doozy, wasn't it? I feel a little sorry for making you going through all that, so I'm going to be generous today; I'm sending you another 5000 Viz AND a layout of your choice under 1,000 Viz. Here's how you can tell me what layout you want to buy.

Click on the "Edit Profile & Settings" link in the upper left of the page. Scroll down and selected "Edit Layout". Then, click on the option that says "Buy Layout", and browse until you find one that you want. When you find it, either private message (pm) me the link or pm me the layout title.

In fact, yesterday was so tough, that this will be your task today: Send me a pm! You can do this by scrolling up and looking at the links under the vizzed banner. One of them says "Private Messages". It will always show you how many pm's you have by the number after the link in parenthesis ("2 NEW", for example). Click on the pm link, and the rest is self explanatory! (As a newbie you can only send 10 pms a day.)

Pm me two things:

1. Send me the link and/or title of the layout you wish to be purchased.
2. Answer the following questions: What is the TDV? What is the VCS?

To find the answers, perform the following steps:

Scroll to the top of the page and you should see a link that reads 'control panel' at the every top center. Click on that, and on the left should be a menu of options. Click on 'FAQ & Help Center', and explore! The answers are in there, promise! (Don't be tempted to click on the option in the control panel that says "VCS". It doesn't contain any info whatsoever, and only contains data for the competition.)

Still a newbie? Well don't worry.. you only have two days left after today! You've been such a good sport, that I'm going to give you another 200 Viz.

One of the great things about vizzed is the supportive and friendly community that wants to get to know you! On vizzed, you can keep track of your friends by adding them to your profile. Anyone you add as a friend will show up on the index page or board page. You'll be able to see when they are online, what they are doing, and what they've done most recently.

You have two goals today.

1. Add me or Juliet as a friend. Don't worry, you can always remove us if you don't want to keep us there, but it doesn't hurt to get some practice! The easiest way to add someone as a friend is to go to their profile by clicking on their name. Their profile pages will show whatever information they choose to reveal, as well as their battle stats, inventory, site position, and number of trusted points.

Trusted points are rewarded when members rate you up for various reasons. The only people who can rate you are people that are already trusted, and their vote is always anonymous. Trusted points don't really do anything except show that you have been a member of vizzed who's active, friendly, and helpful to the site. You CAN be rated down by a staff member if you're rude, break the rules, or just come off as unpleasant... so be careful!

While on mine or Juliet's profile, look below our user pics. You'll see an option that says "Add to Friends List", and you'll be brought to a page within the control panel. You'll have to select a category of 'friend' (or make up your own and select the 'other' bubble), and then confirm your submission. If you want to remove us later, you can always go to the control panel up at the top of the page, and then click on 'Friends List' to the left hand side.

2. Put something in your bio! Your bio shows up at the bottom of your profile, and you can place anything that doesn't break site rules! In order to write your bio, click on the "Edit Profile & Settings". Then, scroll down and find the area for your biography, fill it in, and hit submit!
When you're done with both tasks, summon us here!
