(A cold night in a small town,a young man named Shawn is sitting on the edge of a bridge,below the bridge is a 50ft drop into ice cold water in the lake below,he is sitting thinking as a young woman named Mayim is walking by the bridge and sees him)
MAYIM : Hey,you ok there?
SHAWN : Oh,I am fine,just sitting here thinking about stuff
MAYIM: Doesn't seem like a good place to think,kinda dangerous
SHAWN: Well it's quiet,but really I am ok
MAYIM: Sorry,just when I see someone in a position that you are in,it always looks bad,just some concern,it's in my nature
SHAWN: Thanks for your concern,but I am just thinking about life,I'm not planning to jump off this or anything
(Shawn chuckles)
MAYIM: Aren't you cold sitting there? And it's not nice around this area,all kinds of horrible people lurk about
SHAWN: Trust me,I am ok,been sitting here for 3 hours and not one person has came by until now
MAYIM: You could sit somewhere safer and think is all I am saying
SHAWN: Maybe I will move on eventually,it's good here
(Shawn looks out towards the trees he sees in the distance and then he looks up at the starry sky)
SHAWN: Peaceful too
MAYIM: You come here a lot to think?
SHAWN: Nope,just tonight,a lot of bad stuff been going on
MAYIM: Oh,I am sorry to hear that,I hope you are ok soon
SHAWN: I will be,I think
MAYIM: Well,I am Mayim by the way
SHAWN: That's a pretty name,quite unique too
MAYIM : What's yours?
SHAWN: Shawn,which is not so unique
(Mayim laughs softly)
MAYIM: Well Shawn,do you want to join me for coffee? I know a nice place,can think in there
SHAWN: That's nice of you,sure,I guess I have been out here long enough
MAYIM: You could maybe talk to me about what's been going on with your life
SHAWN: Sure,finally someone is caring
(Shawn smiles and gets off from the edge of the bridge and joins Mayim on the path next to the bridge,they both walk on together as the song "Sympathetic Noose" by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club ends this chapter)
