I was originally summoned here in the first post but never responded, not because I have anything against one of my first friends on Vizzed but because when I made up my name I was in a particularly dark place. At the time I cannot describe to you how desperate I was to find somewhere to focus my thoughts.

I had just sobered after using various licit and illicit substances pretty much daily for maybe 6 years and I've struggled with addiction for over 20 now. I had 9 or 10 months sober but due to the extreme nature of my using, I was having some extreme PAWS. Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome is a condition that recovering addicts can experience for years after sobering and possibly the rest of their life. It can include tremors, poor health, excessive mood swings, depression, and irrational thoughts to name a few. I do my best on a daily basis to correct any of these problems that crop up.

Anyhow, it felt as if I had just woken from a twenty-year coma or maybe as though some kind of fog had lifted. As you can imagine, drug addicts/alcoholics don't make the best life decisions when they're enslaved to their chemicals. The flip side is that some of them may be incredibly intelligent when living a sober lifestyle. That is how I feel about my existence. I excel at understanding advanced concepts, can fix about anything I put my hands on and approach life in a very methodical way when sober. When I used, I did things that are illegal, immoral and just flat out stupid.

To me, a phantom is something that fades in and out of existence. So, my user name indicates how I have experience with being exceptionally intelligent for a block of time and then incredibly stupid for another. Another way I think of it is as of having lived in a perpetual fog but finally (please God) figured the way out.

Also, my real name is actually Brian, so sometimes I'm Brian and sometimes I'm brain. I'd rather be brain than Brian, he's a much better person.

kramer4077 : That would be the most epic crossover episode EVER! Kramer from Seinfeld visits the 4077. I can see him in surgery now. He'd be knocking over trays of scalpels, slipping in puddles of blood and hitting on nurse Houlihan in a really awkward way. (He and Klinger would get along famously.)

My username is simple to explain. I was REALLY into Star Wars when I found this site. I wanted something creative, threw some Star Wars names in my head until BOOM! I got Darthyoda.

My user name was given to me by some friends I used to game with a lot in Unreal Tournament online. They called me Brain Splattered because I was a very sneaky and very good shooting sniper. I used to get head shots a lot when I had time to set up and scope out the maps. The name stuck with me through several other games we played together. Now that we don't game together anymore it is just habit to keep the name. 

Just because I said I would have shoved a broken bottle up their faces, doesn't mean I would have. So who is the victim here?

Ender's game and Speaker for the Dead are some of my favorite books of all time, and Xenocide and Children of the mind were so bad they got my mind on reviewing and criticism. I've always loved the name "Ender". I don't use this name much anymore, due to everyone being like "Wow, you must love minecraft!", and then me replying "MY NAME IS NOT FROM MINECRAFT! AHHHH!"

However, I took the name Warmaker from the pequenino character from that exact terrible book.  I used "Warmaker" for another military strategy game and it just stuck.  Now Warmaker is my title no matter what the profile.  I'm not on very many online communities but Warmaker is universal to all my accounts.

warmaker : Yeah, I noticed that. Lol. That section of the book with Quim and Warmaker was actually pretty cool I think, really the only good part. I had an assignment in High School where we had to pick a book and write poems about it, and I wrote all of them making fun of Children of the Mind. Those two books make me angry

Well when I was growing up in school well high school our teacher wanted to assign everyone names in school for computers. I said to myself growing up if I do anything with computers when I get older. I am going to use this assigned named we were given or picked in school. This was awhile back trying to remember and plus its part of my real name. So I thought it was cool to use it again someday my high school computer name and thats were I got the idea from.

Once upon a time I was on that forum and another user - an ideological antagonist - suggested that I move to another forum where political ideas were better-discussed. But since I did not want him (pretty sure it was a him) to recognize me and since I was reading Angels and Demons at the time I chose Janus.

I know use that name when I don't want people to "recognize" me - I usually use the same user name
