Slippy Toad, the froggiest and jumpiest character among the Star Fox Team from his initial days of joining the Mercenary group. Slippy Toad is by all means a "5 Star" engineer when it comes to the workings of any vehicle or craft. He has a go-getter attitude and the knowledge that drives him to create and maintain the amazing machines known through the Lylat System.

Despite his engineering prowess being more advanced that his pilot skills, he is a character than can and will get the job done when possible when enemies are on him for a slight miscalculation in maneuvering and flight tactics against the army of Andross. He is exceptionally respected for his brand new creation, the Blue Marine, a sub used in the fight against Andross and his bio-weapon located on planet Aquas.

Out of all the members of the Star Fox Team, Slippy plays one of the biggest roles with his technical gadgets and scanners. No matter how big or small the enemy, Slippy can detect the shielding and haul power on any ship or target and relay the statistics to the rest of the team from his Arwing alone.

Aside from the usual messing with from our favorite old timer, Peppy Hare, and the bullying banter between himself and Falco, Slippy is a highly valued companion and ally to the Star Fox Team. To the gamers outside of the understanding of character development and the little things that make each individual character great, he is taken as an annoyance and baggage that only needs saving.

When you're helping Slippy to fend off the baddies on the tail of his Arwing, you busy helping out the Lylat Systems best engineer and tactical scout of your enemies.

Appreciate the ally for what he is and does, not just his fighting abilities.

Slippy Toad the Navi of Star Fox. Sigh... Slippy helps and he is pretty hard but it isn't the easy thing I love him more than any member that isn't Fox. Slippy he lets you go to the underwater level! He lets you know the health. I mean whats so wrong about him? I mean his voice in 64 was strange but that's fixable. Slippy is amazing! Deal with it  Support the Slippy!!!

People always complain about how Slippy always has
several ships on his tail and about how he needs help.
But one thing that I'd like to point out is this: If Slippy didn't
get three bogies on his tail ask for assistance, then you would
have a lot harder of a time getting the medals at certain missions.

You get a lot more points if you can get three ships with one homing
shot. Shipply may seem like bait at times, and I'm not saying that's all
he's good for (see what everyone else has already said!) But him bringing
in three easy hits for 9 points if all three are taken out with a single homing 
shot, that's a huge contribution to your score, and your medal!

Helping him out isn't so bad.
