I accidently resetted my game of Pokémon Light Platinum.. :/
I was on the 7th gym and I completely blew it.
I have to be very careful next time and the time after. This also happened to me on other games I worked very hard on. I think they should have a thing so which you can load previous save states. I hope they make one of those very soon.

It's happened to me a few times, especially back when they put those huge reset buttons on the consoles (I'm looking at you, PSX). My pets would step on the console's over-sized reset buttons and I would lose everything. It was even worse when it happened on a Genesis or SNES, because you couldn't save, so resetting literally meant resetting the whole game. lol

My most epic reset was on Vizzed though. I had played for months on several games on here, but I was using a friend's computer, and planning on backing my files up and transferring them to my computer, when I finally got one. One day it happened: they got a new computer, and got rid of the old one. So I actually lost save files for probably ten games at one time. Harvest Moon, Harvest Moon 64, Paper Mario, MechWarrior, Ogre Battle 64, and more. -save state epic fail-

I can't really remember the details of the times it happened but when I was younger I do remember it happening a few times but the rage fuzzes out my memory cuz I was so pissed.  It seems usually it would happen because of a mistake that could have been avoided had I not been acting clumsy so it hasn't happen in a long time.

I've never had a game resetted, but one time I played like 2 hours of final fantasy 12 and forgot to save. Needless to say, I was quite an unhappy guy.

Yep. My pokemon Heart Gold reset. I was at church sitting down, and it was in my ds in my back pocket. Then it falls out, and hits the ground. After the service I tried to go back on it, but it said something like "Your saved file was corrupted, and it had to be deleted". I was so sad.

I have never reset my games by accident. I'll reset them on purpose if I want to play the game over again, but I have never, nor someone else, has resent my game.

My file got erased by a child my brother was babysitting on Dark Cloud 2; 80 hours of gameplay gone.

Oh, and my Harvest Moon game file is gone. So I need to woo Karen again.

I do recall once I had been playing the video game of Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and whilst the savior of the video game had been progressing, the video game itself had caused itself to error and the progress of the savior of Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga had "corrupted" and I had deactivated the video game. All of my progression throughout Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga had been removed and I had definitely not felt intrigued enough to begin once more. I had been extremely angry, but I had managed to calm myself, considering I had multiple other video games to play similar to Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Almost all of the games I play here I hit F2 to load it, so it gets rid of my whole game.

Yep. Happened with my HeartGold file ".

I reset my Pokemon Emerald file because my Pokemon were under leveled.
