This game is considered a "powerhouse" and classic of the Final Fantasy series. It was the first Final Fantasy game to utilize 3D graphics, which was pretty big in that time.

It is highly popular, especially with its wonderful game play AND music. Nobuo Uematsu always does a wonderful job.

As for what you can expect, looking at it from today's point of view, with all the basically perfect 3D gaming from COD to Halo, to even Final Fantasy games today, Final Fantasy VII would look really crude and not at all great, with the pointy parts on the bodies of the characters and very crude detail as well, but understand, it was kinda new back then when it was released. If you want to really "feel" the game, just think of yourself as someone back then who never played a game with 3D graphics.

It was originally supposed to be released for Nintendo, but its cartridges didn't hold enough storage for the game, which really stinks, because if Nintendo actually released the game, it would have made Nintendo a lot more popular, and probably would have released some more Final Fantasy games instead of it all going to Sony.

I would highly recommend playing this game, and you really won't be sorry you saved up for this game.

I really look forward to earning the game and I agree it really sucks Nintendo couldn't manage to fit the game on it's cartridge's as that could have been quiet fun.
