You know exactly where you were that night.

You may have been watching TV. You may have been eating dinner. You may have been doing both at the same time. Hell, you may have been sleeping, or getting it on. That's not important however.

What is important, is what came next.

The ground shook. The skies darkened, and then brightened, and then darkened again. There was an explosion in the distance. Fire ravaged the clouds. It was hell on earth.

You and your family ran outside, held each other. Prayed for dear life.

But no one answered.

You all retreated with your families to the one place you hoped would be safe.

Innocent Town.

Leggy, the oh so beloved former host of Mafia had gone missing 6 months ago, and in his stead were numerous attempts to get Mafia to reach former glory. With Leggy gone, you figured, Innocent Town would be the perfect place to seek refuge, as nothing ever happened to Innocent Town. It had almost divine protection... when you weren't killing each other that is.

And you all made a truce.

"This time, there will be no killing, only safety." one of the veteran players said.

"What do you mean? No killing? Do you guys normally die?" asked a rookie.

"Sometimes. It's never explained how we come back to life though." responded the vet.

Then, while everyone was getting comfortable, a crack of lightning stopped all in their tracks. Then the loudest thunder.

You began to wonder if even Innocent Town would be safe.

A red tide comes flowing into the town, and you prepare for the worst...

Nothing happens.

Silverthundr leaned over and touched the red concoction.

"It's blood." he declares.

Then a ring of fire surrounds Innocent Town, the lightning becomes more frequent and terrifying, and the winds begin to swirl with red hot intensity. The temperature suddenly falls, and you are ice.

At this point, the lesser mortals (such as your families, and possibly some of you) have pissed their pants, and want out. Just as some attempt to leave...

"Hello, nice to see things haven't changed too much in my absence." says a ghostly specter.

It couldn't be. No.

You refuse to believe he's alive, it's impossible, or at least highly improbable.

"NO! You are dead! You effectively killed yourself 6 months ago!" screamed mlb789.

"Ah, I can see where dying would complicate things... for a mortal." responds the specter.

For the less informed, this was just pure insanity, who is the specter, and how is he here if he's dead?

"Now listen up, because this is important. To ALL of you. I am indeed dead. Actually, I'm surprised I can communicate at all. I guess your coming here, to my favorite haunt, and remembering the fond memories we shared allowed me to reconnect to the mortal plane..." he continues

Fond memories your ass. You were only remembering how awful the days under constant fear of death were, you swear.

"But that's neither here nor there. See, we can help each other out here. The world is ending out there, and Innocent Town as always is a safe haven. Here's the deal, I don't like being dead, and I presume you all like being alive. So you guys play my game once more, and sacrifice the souls of the dead to me so I may be reborn... and I'll let you all stay under my divine protection until this... hell is finished."

It's actually a tough choice for many. You can choose death by the apocalypse or death by other players. Of course, you always did come back to life in the past when killed in the game...

"We accept." said pacman1755, who apparently speaks for the whole group as there is no dissent.

"Excellent! The veteran players know how the game goes, so I won't bother them with the details. Newbie players should come to me about how to play if this is their first time playing. I'll always be in the center of Innocent Town, so you have no excuse for not finding me."

He floated over to a group of Singelli, patar4097, and mrfe, and made a wicked smirk.

"Yes, this is going to be a fun game. A fun game indeed. You will all be assigned rooms by my avatar, his name is irrelevant. Just know that Innocent Town's Mafia section is a circle. So the last person in line is next to the first person in line. If you have a question about your neighbor, just look at the player list that will be posted at the bottom of this post. IE - silverthundr borders Juliet and Singelli. If Juliet dies, he'd border totaldramaman2. Get it?"

He then floats over to Juliet and Frodlex, grimaces, and then continues.

"I will be coming to your rooms tonight to give you your role you will play. You will play this role, or I will kill you instantly with no reincarnation. That should explain the gaping plot hole we usually have with these role lists..."

Then he floats over to a group of concerned parents and siblings.

"Oh don't worry, these people are innocent, and will be kept under my care outside of the Mafia center. You have my word they will be unharmed. In fact, they'll be lavished with entertainment. Namely watching you all kill each other on Live TV!"

He then vanishes, but not without saying nothing...

"And I should be perfectly clear... there is no escape from Innocent Town."

And then you are left to yourself.

Not trusting a single other player, you back away to your assigned rooms and prepare for the madness that will be coming later tonight. You get a very short reprieve...

Will you be strong enough to survive? Will you live through the apocalypse AND Leggy's revenge?

Only time will be able to truly tell.

As you will notice, I don't show the ratio I have set. I do have a ratio set however. I just prefer blind games where you have to uncover the information on your own.

The game will start once everyone has their role, and I say "GAME INITIALIZED" in another post. I will be sending out the roles TONIGHT, in accordance with the story. In my next post, when I declare the start of the game, I will declare how long you will have for night and then day actions. 29 players is the most we've ever had, so I'm probably going to try for a fast paced game here. Hopefully, this game will finish by the end of November

Anyway, thanks again for playing everyone, now be patient while I get the role list prepared.

Hmm...I wonder if I can find a Hot Pocket...the meatball one that I like...

Oh god, sounds like I have a role I may not like. But then again I don't really care as long as I have food. I'm really just your run of the mill teenager here and I'll probably be one of the first to go by the looks of things here. But eh, I'll give it my all, and at least I should have a chance to eat something decent before I get popped off. But I mean it should be some good fun, especially seeing as I'll probably end up revived afterwards as well. And when I'm alive I can eat more food. And when I eat more food I can stay alive and it remains in a constant lovely cycle.

Now excuse my while I go track down something to eat.

Frodlex : Nah that role usually falls to me because look at my name fallman oh hes our fall guy we can just get rid of him boom dead most games I have played end in me dieing during the first two days I think I made it to the end once. only one time And I don't think the town won that time.

I am posting right now to say the roles have all been sent out.

However, the game will NOT start until Midnight EST (and even then it will be a day early)

If you do not have your role (it will be in your PM Box) PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TELL ME. I am giving us a few hours of reprieve before the game to make sure everyone knows and understands their roles.

Yeah, I really am glad to get back into Vizzed Mafia. It's been far too long since we did it. Probably should have done it sooner, but eh, we all gave up when our lord and savior left.

Let's get the Mafia, and bring the return game to the Townies.

All of the noobs I recommend favoriting this thread. You'll probably miss a lot of useful information.

It's too hot to sleep inside... I'll just relax outside. Ya know, watch the stars. I'm always too hot when sleeping anyway.

What a dingy little bathroom. The dim light flickers every 42 seconds; the sink head and its handles are rusty; the mirror has cloudy, white spots on it; there's mold on the shower curtain of a small bathtub; and the room reeks of Clorox. At least the toilet's clean.
