Okay so as the title says, what is your IQ which stands for intelligence quotient. Before I say anything else, I do not want this to turn into a bragging thread, otherwise I think it would be better off closed. I am hoping that you guys can handle it though.

I last had my IQ tested about a year  and a half ago when I was 13 and I had an IQ 123 or something like that, I took a test and then I got a score back. I am not sure that is the only way of getting an accurate measure, but that is just what I got when I last got it tested. I don't know what it would be for me now. Hopefully a 130 or something like that.

Please, please, please do not turn this into a bragging/ flaming thread, that is the last thing I want to happen. I think we should all be mature enough to share our IQ and not brag or boast about it. Otherwise, don't reply if that is your intention.

When I was tested a few years back, I got a 149. But the results were probably inaccurate. I'm not nearly that intelligent.

maguc : that is really high, for 13 that is ridiculously high. That is like above genius level. I think mine would be somewhere in the 150 range if I got it tested now though, again every iq test is different, so it is most likely that people will end up with a different score based on their IQ which may be inaccurate. 

I wonder what my IQ may be as of now. Hopefully significantly higher than before

Oh good, I always love these IQ threads.

It always happens that everyone on vizzed is a genius... I wonder why?

My IQ? I really don't know. I have taken school and internet tests, but they are a joke. Real IQ tests (like the WAIS-III) take over an hour to complete, and have to be administered by a trained person, usually a psychologist. I really really am curious to know what mine is.

I have called some psychologists in my area, but they always refuse just to test for IQ out of curiosity. I guess it would be expensive, but I'd be willing to pay a decent amount.

I have this stupid fantasy that I will have a ridiculously high IQ once I get tested, and be able to enter the Mensa society.

I had an IQ test in kindergarten... I have been trying to get my records from the school for years, but since I am now out of state it gets all kinds of annoying getting them to give them to me. I know it was high enough for me to be put in the gifted program, but that is all I know.

I have never been tested but if I had to guess, I would probably place myself around the higher average area. I usually get I the 80's at school (For those who don't live in Ontario, that's between an A- and an A). I probably lost a couple points when I started playing Rugby though XD.

yeah, most online tests factor speed higher than accuracy it seems. They are junk.


Also, the average IQ has been going up since the tests and averages were determined. Average IQ is no longer 100 but closer to 120 or 130. Getting a score in that range means you are more likely average IQ than high IQ.

Yeah I think geeo is right because people are getting much higher IQ scores nowadays and scores of 120-130 are becoming more common. Who knows how much it could be raised in the future. I saw a show recently where in the future, it may be possible to put a chip in our brain to teach all of the necessary things we need to know, plus it will ensure we use all of our brain power instead of just 10% so who knows how much higher IQ in the future could be?

Some of the top people from my old school (including me) had a test done about three years ago and I scored 134 but I was groggy on the day so it might be a bit higher than that. I was just glad I got the day off so I could do the test without stress.
