I feel it is both the Republicans and Democrats faults. It seems to be very had and frustrating for them to usually ever agree with each other. 

There was a recent poll, and 62 percent blamed the Republicans for the shutdown. 

I did not follow the government shutdown too closely, but I got the gist of it. I think it had something to do with the funding gap and Obamacare as well.

I think to my opinion to the whole government shutdown, I think personally the ones responsible for the shutdown is month Republicans and Democrats, the reason why I say this, well, look at it this way, the Democrats really wants to push that Obamacare thing though and make it official and the Republicans didn't want to go though with that, so what do we happen to get, the government shutdown. So to my opinion, I if Obamacare didn't exist, then the whole government shutdown wouldn't been going on and both parties can at lease shut up about it and not fight about a dumb little thing.

Really, it was both. If the Democrats hadn't have pushed, the Republicans wouldn't have to, either. What's wrong with the government is simple: They create different parties and try to prove the other wrong. It's all about competition now, and who wins is what matters. It doesn't matter to many people of both parties that we went into a shutdown. If they didn't have the big debate and just compromised, we wouldn't have fallen into the shutdown. Not that I have anything against the government. But what I am saying is that they aren't really going for making our country better. People are trying, but the majority isn't letting it work. It's all competition now. Republicans have to get what they want, and same with the Democrats. Not that they're crybabies, but that they aren't working together. Like tgags had said, it's just pointless to debate. Why not divide the cookie and share? In this case, why not hear both sides and compromise?
