In a move unsurprisingly opposed by many people, you can now show videos of hanging, beheading, or other graphic videos so long as you seem to oppose it.
Sites like facebook are always getting into trouble but this is the first time iv ever fully agreed with the opposition. This is the stupidest thing i have ever heard of a social media site doing.
I supposed next we can share sexual assault clips so long as we put the caption bad in.
Its funny how a picture of someone semi naked will be deleted even if the pictured person uploaded it, yet graphic violence is allowed to pass.
Im really begining to dislike the site.

I've always disliked facebook, and this is just another reason to dislike it. I've reported pages that were equally as offensive/ traumatizing, and the majority of the time, they tell me the webpage is just fine. (Mainly, I've reported pornographic pages.) But since I know most of you think I"m extreme, let me give another example. My little sister, who is way, WAY liberal, got offended over a page that displayed pictures of people starving to death, beaten to death, etc etc. It wasn't the pictures that got her riled, however. It was the fact that the sole purpose of the page was to make fun of the victims in the situations. My little sister almost quit facebook (or she might have actually quit, I don't know) because when she reported it, facebook told her there was nothing wrong with the page.....

People are going to post random videos that are graphic and they are going to lie, they are going to say that they oppose it even though they just put it up there for entertainment with no real purpose.

I have a Facebook account and one of the main reasons I hardly use it is because my whole home page is about Liking crappy posts. My friends are bribed to do it and when I see this on my homepage instead of stuff my friends have been doing I get a little mad.
It is just the typical "If you do not like this post in the next ten seconds, this will happen to you *Horrific image*". Some are not so bad like a broken leg (well it is bad but compared to some of the other things that is a different story) and at the worst you can be the audience of some 18+ content (not porn). 
I have seen legs split open to the bone, people with knifes going through their necks. Slit wrists, run over faces, Child abuse (I reported this in horror) and as you mentioned behead people. This stuff makes me sick and to see Facebook letting these things happen puts me of the site even more than I should be. I have never seen anything as bad as the things I have seen on Facebook on any other site. Twitter can handle it, Vizzed can, Youtube can, Tumblr sort of can and many other sites can deal with this. So why not Facebook?

If that's allowed to be on facebook, then surely pretty young people will have access to it(not that I think they should be on facebook anyway). I don't think people will allow this to go on for too long, what were they thinking? I deleted my facebook a while back anyway, I've always hated it.

I am unimpressed with how Facebook enforces rules about photos. At least now they're being honest and can say they're not enforcing the violence rule anymore?
In the recent past I reported some pictures of graphic animal cruelty, including photos of dogs and endangered animals being beheadded on a pro-violence-towards-animals page... only to be chided by Facebook support staff saying it's not violent enough to be removed. :/ Meanwhile, god forbid somebody post a picture with visible female nipples.

There are a lot of sick and twisted people, and ultimately they dont care. They are a business and all they care about is money. The more users the more they earn.
So they try and play as many sides as they can.
Ultimately they will probably realise they stand to lose too many 'customers' and give in to demands.
The fact it has to come to that is ridiculous.

Well, their priority i should say.

Money.

Money corrupts most people after all.

Another reason could be they just don't want to spend the money to actually hire staff to get rid of these pages/videos

still its better than youtube where big companies can easily make your account be deleted... Sega did it with shining force 3 videos for the sole purpose of getting a new released game at the top lol

hence why a lot of people don't advertise or review Sega games anymore

That's why I rarely use Facebook anymore because it's just I don't know, the whole site is all screwed up at a point, I don't really want to be a part of anymore. The sick pictures and videos being posted and it's just a corrupted corporation, that's just really disturbing.

sonicmcmuffin : I do have to agree with you, at least Facebook is better than YouTube because the staff at YouTube, they all kiss those big media companies in the (you know where I'm talking about), that's mostly why half of the video reviews (and other things) of video games, movies, and T.V shows been taken down dued to "Copyright violation by that company", but yeah, at least Facebook is better, but not a whole lot
