Mines a little more Recent but theres a starting gift in Dark Souls. You select a starting gift at the beginning of the game some of the gifts give you health or help damage even a key that lets you skip certain areas but this item has No use in game, it can be traded for souls or items but has no actual use in-game

I like the Goron Golem from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It can be seen (Kind of) through using an Action Replay. But it can't hurt you, and you can't hurt it. I also like all the other people who would come and drink coffee in Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga.

The Majority of the masks in The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time are pretty useless and well.. unused. I remember buying all of these masks thinking they will do something to me like in Majora's Mask. I thought the fox looking mask would turn me into a fox and the same thoughts puzzled me with most of the other masks. I never used them again, not even to sell them and make a little profit. The only use I have with them is to just annoy the Happy Mask Salesman when I do not have enough to pay him!!

I think the most useless video game item is the Needler from the first Halo...what a worthless hunk of junk. It was such a cool idea for a weapon, but the DPS is just too low.

My favorite would definatly be the coffee sidequest from M&Luper Star Saga. But other personal favorites from what little I know and remeber...Also the cape feather and Hammer suit were meant to return in Super mario, I would like those, but I will admit Tankooie and Boomerang fit the gameplay better and need a better return (excluding boomerang) Not to mention the exclusion of Partners in sticker star plus I also like Bonetails' beta design more. Not much else I know of though...
