What's the first game you have ever owned? I remember when I first bought Super Mario 64. I spent so much time playing it. I saw that everyone had this "Nintendo 64." First console ever owned, and my Mario 64 copy is my first game. I still play it to this day even thouh it has gotten a bit old from beating it +30 times. What's your first video game?

I don't really know the answer.... Most of my games came from my family, I think the answer to this might be Pokemon Heartgold.

The first video game I have owned is Wii Sports. I got it for my 10th birthday. It came with my Wii as a special deal. I still have my Wii console and Wii Sports today.

The first video game that I owned was Super Mario Bros for GBC. It was over a decade ago and I loved that game so much and played it every day. I have been meaning to get the ROM for it but haven't yet.

I can't remember exactly, but some of my first games were ocarina of time, super mario 64, mario kart 64 and pokemon yellow for my gameboy. I was about 6 or 7 when I got my first system along with some of my 1st games. But those are some of my very first games in no particular order. Good question by the way pixel. They really bring back some great memories.  I still have most of these games too which is good.

Okay I've got an unusual answer for this one cuz the first game I got on my own I didn't buy it was for free. If you bought a Sega Genesis when it first came out it came with a slip of paper that you could fill out to get a free game with a subscription (also for free) of the Sega magazine.  I ordered a free copy of James Buster Douglas Knockout Boxing with my subscription.  So I didn't buy it but it was the first game I got on my own.  I have the high score on vizzed for that because I still remember my tactics.

The first game I ever purchased with my own money was NiGHTS for the Sega Saturn back in the mid 90s. I remember seeing commercials of it on TV and for some reason I was so drawn to that game. The copy I bought also came with a pillow case.

There's an interesting story behind how I saved up money for the game and what happened to the game after I bought it.

My Grandpa had Parkinson's disease and one summer my Grandma went back to work for a while so she asked me if I could take care of my Grandpa while she was away. It was summer vacation so it was a great opportunity for me to earn some money and help out my Grandma and Grandpa. I eventually saved up enough money from watching him to buy the game.

The sad thing is, shortly after I bought it, my younger sister accidentally broke it when me and her were fighting. I don't think I even got a chance to even play it. My Dad eventually ended up buying it for his own collection years after that but I never got around to playing it very much. It wasn't until about a year ago when the game came out of the Xbox 360 arcade that I finally got an opportunity to play the game and beat it.

So yeah, NiGHTS was the first game I bought with my own money. It definitely wasn't the first game I ever played and it wasn't the first game I owned but it was the first I bought and for that reason (and the story behind how I saved up for it), NiGHTS is a very special game to me.

Davideo7 : I honestly never heard of that game before. Is it any good?

My very first game I have ever owned. (Buying it with my own money of course.) Was the Legend of Zelda A link to the Past. It was my first game I have owned and plus one of my all time favorite game back when I was a kid. I do miss that game and which I'm truly grateful I have found this place. I can relive my childhood once again. Anyways. Enough of the nostalgic memories for the time being. I had to do a lot of extra chores to earn the game which unfortunately I don't have anymore. Just an old copy of The legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, though I love that game as well. I had to babysit, rake the yard, etc, just to get the game and it was worth it.

Natas : The full title is 'NiGHTS into Dreams'. I personally love the game. The graphics are great, the music is amazing, the gameplay is addictive and the game has so many innovative features, especially considering when it came out.

Vizzed has a "portable" version of the game here:
https://www.vizzed.com/play/nights-into-dreams-score-attack-gba-online-game-boy-advance-64060-game

The real game is far better than that but that gives you a small idea of what the game is like. The full game is in full 3D, has far better music than that, more features, etc.

The first game I bought with my own money is Super Scribblenauts for the DS. Well, I needed extra money for tax, but I paid for the game itself. The graphics aren't the best, but it's easy to get over that with how fun it is!

Davideo7 : We all have our own tastes. I've played a lot of horror games back then, none was able to scare me, but Fatal Frame was one of those that kept me on the edge of my seat. Only armed with a special camera that exorcise the vengeful spirits within the mansion and these spirits will literally pop out of nowhere and that what keeps you on the edge of your seat. A lot of jump scares basically. From what I understand. The first title was based on a true story. I can't say whether I believe it or not, but it adds to the game's story if you know what I mean.

Thing is, I can't really tell which one I got first, because I got all my games at once. I got Pokemon Trozi, Pokemon Diamond, and Nintendogs as my first games. :V So, I'll just say Pokemon Diamond, because that's the one I remember and played the most. I eventually lost it when we moved, and I never found it since. but I still enjoy the memories, and now I have Platnium so it's never bothered me much.

I can't remember the first game I ever officially owned. It's been a while. The first game I bought with my own money though was Megaman Battle Network. I bought the GBA to go along with it. That's one reason why the MMBN series is special to me.
