Is it just me or does TDV seasons have less Newbie threads? When TDV is not going on, I see a ton of Newbie threads within one hour or so. Now there isn't much being created. Have any of you guys noticed this pattern going on? Then again, there was a ton of Newbie threads when I joined in July.

There still are newbie threads but there just decreasing as the day go by.  I guess some newbies just forgot or probably didn't want make a newbie thread. I didn't make a newbie thread because I just wanted to play games on vizzed at first.

I think they are scared of all the posts, that would be partially funny, though. Maybe they like to stay away from the forums because they will get flodded with replies.

Yeah I have noticed this as well it seems like there aren't as many newbies posting in the newbie thread. I usually go to the forum every once in a while and it seems that there just aren't as many newbie threads to reply to because there are usually a ton of newbies that come in every day.

So yeah I have noticed this as well, so you are not alone. I think dittodude's theory is right, and that would be pretty funny if that is what was driving them away XD.

Most newbies are just automatically seeing the TdV going on and just join in. They don't bother to, or just over all forget, make a thread showing that they're new to the board.

I've noticed this happening, though. Like I said, they don't care to make them until TdV is over, really.

Either that, or what mohammed said. It's very possible they're getting pushed off of the new posts page.

I don't think they're much of a different in the Newbie thread between TdV months and non-TdV months, at least to my point of view, I think it's due to a lot of new posts being posted in the "New Post" menu is why you don't see many than in months that ain't TdV.

Well overall it's probably a good thing in general for there to be less newbie threads during the competition. However just because there is less newbie threads being created doesn't mean there aren't new people joining in on the forum. I mean I never made a newbie thread.
