First off, I'm very aware that I listed some cuisines which could be considered nestled in the European or Asian category. I simply listed Europe and Aisa for those more specific countries I didn't list. If you can think of some other larger food group for me to add, just say so.

This question is pretty self-explanatory. What is your favorite type of cuisine, and more importantly...... why?

I absolutely adore Indian food, myself. The spices, the flavors, and the hotness are all fabulous. As though the liveliness of the food wasn't enough, however, I also adore the fact that most of their foods are quite healthy. It's hard to get such good tasting food that doesn't add a few pounds to your waist AND cleans your system of certain toxins. I even LOVE Indian ice cream, and if you ever get the chance to try it, I highly recommend it. It's got a more natural and gritty texture, but it's sweet without the strong sugar most of us are accustomed to. It definitely does take a particular person to like it I think, but a new experience is never a bad one!

If I had to pick a second favorite food, I'd definitely say Mexican. Again, awesome spices and flavors and hotness. Plus, so many foods are drenched in cheese, and you can NEVER go wrong with melted cheese. Just keep pouring it on!

Chinese and Filipino. Second are Japanese and Korean, but that's because I grew up eating those kinds of foods (those 4). I'm not much of a fan of Europian dishes, they are good, but they're just not my kind of taste... (except for pastries and desserts, I loove~ any kinds of sweets, specially if there's a balance between sweetness and flavors) I don't like too much oil on my food and I've always preferred steamed over fried stuff. Not a fan of pork and beef either, I prefer chicken, fish and veggies.

Oooh I love Indian ice cream as well, it's great!

Way biased here, but absolutely love Greek food myself.  I'm of Greek descent myself so I grew up with it and have spent multiple summers cooking it for food festivals. I can eat grape leaves (leaves rolled up with rice and ground meat inside) like they're candy. But as for the most famous stuff, the pastries, and specifically baklava, is just magical.

Hahaha that's awesome, you can always find a good Greek family selling a quality gyro at state fair. I feel like it's some sort of law at times. If you want to try out some Greek food when you get a chance, grape leaves are pretty mild and a good thing to try out. Any type of lamb is usually a really big hit. Spanikopita (aka "spinach pie") is usually one of our top sellers too - it's thin fillo dough with spinach and feta cheese.

By far the most famous food is baklava - the same fillo dough with walnuts in the middle, covered in a honey/cinnamon syrup. It's absolutely amazing, and highly recommended.

mikez913 :  I actually had to debate between Green and Mexican food as my second favorite.  I know American made Greek food isn't close to the real thing, but there are very few Greek foods I haven't -thoroughly- enjoyed. I absolutely love gyro wraps, and the spanikopita you mention sounds absolutely stunning.

My husband makes something called a "Greek pita", but I highly doubt that's the real name of the dish.  It is my favorite dish to this date.  I have to admit I'm a little jealous that you've got to had so much amazing food in your life time.

Easy! Asian food, all my favorite food comes from the Asian countries, but not only that, all my favorite candy does as well :3

I vote Italian. I absolutely love Italian food. Whether my family makes it or I get it at a restaurant, Italian food is the best. I come from and Italian family, so I eat Italian food a lot.

Singelli : I am American so I have to take the American food! But that doesn't mean I don't love others, i do also love Mexican food!

My favorite cuisine, I pretty much got to go with Mexican, because I am pretty much a spicy eater
more likely, it can be with tacos, to burritos, to a lot of other Mexican-related foods as well.

But for real, cheese is amazing.

I'm italian, and I have a real appetite for sauces, pastas, meats....any combination of the 3. and of course the cheeses.

Um, I don't really have a favorite cuisine. I just like some food in general. Some taste pretty good for me, so picking a favorite is a little difficult for me. But if I have to pick one, I will go with Chinese cuisine. I just really enjoy eating it.
