It pretty much depending on what games you want to get and what brand you much perfer, with me, I much go with the PS3/PS4 because I'm a Sony person, But I'm going with a PS3 for a little while. So it's what game you like is what console you should get.

I'm a bit partial to Nintendo myself, so I suggest you get a Wii U. To me, they always seem to have the most reliable systems. I remember shortly after the Xbox 360 came out, there was something I heard about the discs melting inside the system. I don't know if that's true or not, but it would certainly make me hesitant about buying one. It's up to you though for which one you want. As I said, my suggestion is that you ask your parents to get you a Wii U for Christmas.

Well, being an RPG gamer, I'm perfectly at home with my PS2. I say if you are like me and love RPG's over other games then buy a Ps2/3/4 (assuming 4 can play older playstation games) else you just go for the system that you will get the most out of. Think of the type of games you enjoy and see which console has the most games you would like to play. If you would like to stay current gen the go with the Xbox One or Ps4 seeing as those are the newest. WiiU as well, however it's not as new as the former two.

in my opinion(and the order that im going to buy) i would get a PS4 first, and then later on get the Wii U. the PS4 has more capabilities than the Wii U and is much cheaper in the long run than the Xbox. get the Wii U later for the new franchise that has yet to be released(i want the new Metroid game thats been leaked ) but thats just my opinion

I say get the PS4 or the Wind Waker Wii U bundle I have heard about those would seem like the best things to get but if your looking to waste money try getting the new Xbox that costs a hundred dollars and comes with a set of new restrictions that the Xbox 360 didn't have.
Both the Wii U and PS4 would be getting my vote both are gonna be great consoles.
