Hello all Diabeticzach again with a new question and some info about myself. I would like to know what your guys favorite photo editor is? Mine is DarkTable which is a linux application that edits photos but the changes don't save unless you export the digital image which is cool cause if you screw up the image you still have the orignal image to go back too. In my design class we use all sorts of editors. The two most notable to me are Photoshop (Cs6) and Illustrator (also Cs6) We also use different 3d editors but I'm not that far into the class yet so I can't really name any yet. One last note, you can do the same thing your program does with Photoshop by simply saving a new copy before you start the edit. I don't mean to trash your favorite program, I just wanted to make sure to get the info out there.

TheJJ405 : Your not trashing my program seeing as only 5-10% of the users here use any from of Linux or FreeBSD operating systems, I have a lot of experience with CS6 and other similar photoshop programs but sadly those are Microsoft operating system programs so I can't use them

My favorite photo editor is GIMP. It is a little complicated but it's worth it because there are a lot of different customize-able options you can choose from and those options work really well.

My most favorite (and pretty much the only one I used so far) is Photoshop mostly because I use the program to fix up some of the pictures I taken, and not just that, I also use that program to draw some artworks as well.

I have never used GIMP before but you guys make it sound like it is pretty awesome so I will give it a try sometime. But for the most part I use and am more familiar with editing images on photoshop since it us pretty much the only one I have used or had experience with. But that's just me.

I really like photoshop. I have been using it a lot in my Digital Media class, and it works really well. The problem is the cost of it. It is pretty darn expensive, when you can just use one online for free.

My usage is pretty limited, but I have to say Flash and Illustrator are tied in my book. I like the structure of both, and my experiences with Photoshop have not been the best.

That and I've never been able to experiment a lot with different programs...

I think Photoshop is the best! Personally, I didn't use it but I have seen my friends and many people using it and the result always was positive.

I am using Microsoft Paint, at this moment, I don't need something professionist. I use MS Paint for uploading screeshots, edit them and others. Photoshop is for massive image/video effects, so, I don't need it right now and if I do, well, I don't now how to use it...
