Since the keyboard can only use so many keys at once I'm thinking I should buy a controller that I can plug into my laptop to play some of the games here better? I could use some suggestions on what kind or type would have the best of use...

If you happen to own a PS3 or Xbox 360 controller, you can use one of those on your laptop.  I personally use my ps3 controller for all of the emulation.  There are tutorials available to get these set up.

Personally, I use a PC with 3.00 RAM, 1.7Ghz and a decent/high speed network. With these "things" I'm able to play games without any kind of lag and record videos imediatly.
But I don't know what are the minimum and recommended requirements to play, navigate/record without any kind of lag... uhm, maybe, if it is needed, David can include this somewhere on the site.

jparks34 : Hmmm maybe I could try that... I had an Xbox 360 wired controller until a cousin broke it but with my birthday coming up on the 11th maybe I can get a PS3 control to try.
   or
I can try and get the PC I have working but I need a new Mouse, Keyboard, and Router for it.

I use a Logitech Gamepad F310. I paid close to $30 for it at BestBuy and it was pretty much plug 'n play. If I remember correctly there is a special program that you can download from the Logitech website for use with actual PC games but I never use it. Every time I play a game in the RGR I just simply turn the Gamepad on and use the RGRs built in menu to program the buttons and then I'm ready to play.

I highly recommend this brand/model.

it really depends on what controller is easier for you since....I'm old school. I know what types of controls I use, mostly which will be key board because I have used that one for years so yes, it is as the others say, find a good controller which will make thing easier for you. ^-^
