I am not sure if this is the right place but its kinda about me.   Well, I got a new cat today.  I adopted her from a local humane society.  Her name is Sasha and she is two years old.  Now..I was wondering if anyone had any idea on cat food brands, toys, litter and so forth.  I love cats but I have not had one of my own since I was a kid.

Aww! She is so cute! I love cats! For food, I prefer Science Diet, but that is pretty expensive. For toys, laser pointers work well (not high powered ones of course!), also fake mice and balls with bells in them. Since your cat is older, it won't play that much. I hope you enjoy your new cat! B619ook : Thanks, shes still pretty afraid. ?We have a god so shes kinda skittish but shes doing pretty good, she ate a little and shes explored my room a bit.

I like cats as well. I hope to have one when I get older. The only reason I cannot have one now is because my mom is allergic. I recommend fake mice toys and lasers as tgags suggested, I think that your cat would like them. I like your cat's name as well. I have never had a cat before, as badly as I want one, I am not sure what to offer as suggestions for cat food, but I think that science diet is good, I see it in the store all the time. Anyways, I am glad you made a thread about this, your cat is adorable, enjoy your new cat!

Razor-987 : Thank you,  Yes a couple people have suggested the lasers pointers, I will have to go out and get one.  The people at the humane society suggested that I get all her cat food at a pet store so I can make sure its quality food and not just filler like most grocery store foods.  This cat is going to get spoiled by me. lol

Haha! My uncle has an old cat named Sasha, too.

She's so cute! Adorable.

I recommend laser pointers like others, and things that jingle. Maybe a toy fishing rod sort of thing that you can reel quickly so the cat can try to reach and jump for it. At least, that's what I did for my cat Teddy.

That cat is adorable! A toy I use with my cats they're called "Teasers" its basically some feathers on a little stick, I see them at pet stores sometimes. My cats love them! For cat food I would suggest Meow-Mix or Kit-n-Kaboodle. I actually had a kitten that looked just like that one! She was given to a different home though.
