I have not seen any thread like this made in the Cafe Corner. I decided to be the first to try this out. I now present to you,
Pixie's Guide to asking somebody out
There will be multiple chapters to this. Follow each one if you're dealing with the problem of nerves to ask a girl or guy out. It isn't that hard when you think about it. Let's get this party started!
Chapter I: The Start
This chapter is to get you started on your journey. The title will make more sense when I get into further detail. In school or anywhere, if you see a girl, what do you think? She's pretty? Talented? What do YOU like about her? This is a big question you should ask to yourself when you see the girl or boy who you want to be with. Remember, the inside counts. Beauty and strength never counts. You can have a skinny and not so, what you call, beautiful girl. That won't change anything. As long as she has a nice personality or the arts in physics, medical controversy, law, anything like that, then you're okay. I know the reason why this girl in my class at school was my crush and is now my girlfriend. She could ace math like it was nothing, she had good grades, she was good at drawing, and the most important characteristic of all, a warm heart. She was even kind of good looking. He he he. Er, I mean...let's get to the next chapter
Chapter II: Getting To Know The Prey
You've got the first step down. Can you master this task? You like this guy or gal. You need to know your prey. Try to find her interests. Maybe you can connect to his/her interests. This is a big step in trying to get a relationship. Like I said, you need to know the prey. Does your crush like sports? Video games? Programming? Math? Science? Entomology? Keep asking what he/she likes until you can find something you can connect to. If your crush's interests aren't like yours, that's okay. But if they are, that is a bonus in trying to get the girl or guy.?
Chapter III: Starting A Topic
You've got those two down. But this chapter is, in a way, similar to the last chapter. Starting some small-talk with the crush. Think of a witty topic about any interests he or she may enjoy, or anything formal. Here are some ideas for this small, yet important part of a future relation. How is the weather, did you see the game yesterday, did you hear ____ on the news, do you think overpopulation could be a big affect, did you know the Milky-Way is 1,000 light years away? These are some cool topics I like to use in front of family to start a little debate. These formal subjects will only help if your crush is intelligent, which I hope he or she is.
Chapter IV: Ask Out The Guy Or Girl
This is one of the two biggest steps in relationships. You'll hear the other one. And no it is not having children. Talk to your parents about that. He he. But now, you gotta do what ya gotta go. Ask the prey out on a date or get-together. You can ask this person out to a movie, to get some grub somewhere, to hang out after school, go to a club together. This is a perfect bonding experience to do with your spouse, or should I say FUTURE SPOUSE to get to know each other. Follow the other steps before doing this chapter. Don't just go out to a girl and say, "Hey baby! I get my clothes at MEN'S STORES." "Who do you think you are," the girl would ask. Then if you were nuts, you would say, "I'm the answer to your dreams, baby!" You know, vice verse. Ask the girl out, but don't ask the victim to become boyfriend and girlfriend...
Chapter V: The Relationship Strikes Back! (Star Wars reference)
You're getting closer to the final step. It is time to...ask the boy or girl to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Be formal about it. Maybe get the girl some flowers. If it's a guy, get him a gift he'll love. Later you will have to meet your boyfriend or girlfriend's parents out for dinner. Be very formal, dress formal. You need to impress the PARENTS too....
Chapter VI: Return of the Marriage
You are now at your stopping point. After getting to know the crush, you are now ready for this. Marriage is good because you and your spouse can be together for the rest of your lives to love each other...to care for each other. ?Do what's said from Chapter IV. But this time, make it the most romantic night ever. May I suggest dinner at a fancy restaurant? You need to dress nice. When you pick up your girl, or if you're the girl, the guy picks YOU up, get the girl some flowers. Have courage when doing so. There is nothing to be afraid about. Now after a few formal talks, you can do it. I will suggest buying a ring or something special for engagement. Kneel down, and become wed by saying these words..."Will you marry me?" Everything you did has now gone far. Years ago, you became the girlfriend or boyfriend of the crush. Now you're here. (NOTE, only boys should propose)
