Awesome-Kid : i agree with you all the way. shadow has better powers. and he just looks cool.               

I'd Pick shadow over Sonic any day.

For these legit facts:

1) Shadow moves a little bit faster then sonic( I know that because I watched sonic X)
2) Shadow has cool powers and such like" Chaos Control!"

3) He's just a ulimate billy bad butt. and he looks cool.

Things I don't understand about shadow:
1) Why does he have a gun in his own video game( seriously that doesn't make any sense for a billybad butt like him to use a gun.)
2) Why doesn't sega make him a main character and give him video game more often?!

Sonic the Hedgehog is the one and only. I am not fussed about his upgrades, Shadow and Metal Sonic. I am one of those guys who likes the original the best. For instance I like the original recipe of shreddies! Look I don't have any problem with shadow, but since he has been there the game has changed. Just take a look at the original and then look at what sega did to him in the most recent games. I think sonic has changed too much!!

So I like Sonic the hedgehog but only in his original retro form!

I have to say Sonic. Shadow looks a lot cooler, but Sonic is the original and I almost always like originals better.

I agree I also like Shadow a lot more. Though I do usually tend to pick originals more Shadow is just dark and more mysterious. By that I mean that it seems that Sonic The Hedgehog is marketable to younger kids and pre-teens while Shadow is more of the type of character who is marketable to young adults and older gamers. I have always been the type of player to want to be the bad guys just because of my gaming styles and in that case I would have to pick Shadow over Sonic. Also Shadow had a decently successful game of his own which I have yet to play. I am not a big sonic game fan but I did enjoy Sonic Heroes for Gamecube.

I was actually unaware that Shadow actually had different powers before I read your reply so now I definitely like Shadow so much more! (Though Knuckles is always going to be the best character ever in that series!) And you are so right Shadow just looks epic!

I think Shadow is never going to have a game come out again featuring him because of the fact that though the game was not a failure it was also not a complete success. Also because of the gun in the game the rating had to be increased which means less buyers which means less money and we all know game companies now are just focused on the almighty dollar.

Shadow! I love Shadow, he is stronger, and looks a LOT cooler! I love Shadow! ( But I do also like sonic! )

Awesome-Kid : I actually like Sonic more. His voice acting and his design. Shadow is always blunt, I don't like his design, and his character in the games play a...let's say...interesting role.

Shadow has the upper hand since he rivals Sonic's speed and several notable abilities like chaos control and those rings he has around his wrist for powering up. Both are great characters and I enjoy both their stories in SA2 Battle and watched Sonic X as well.

I feel that Shadow would win in a fight against Sonic. He just has more of an edgy presence that can overpower anything. He can match Sonic's speed, but is proven his ruthless aggression towards everyone.

Shadow is more violent than Sonic. Sonic is just a lazy hedgehog.
