As you all know, the site has been slow and getting slower over the past month. It's beyond me why this is happening and I've dedicated many hours trying to figure it out. I may have come up with a possible solution that I plan to implement today so I'll be undergoing site maintenance for the next 8-12 hours (8 am to 8 pm central time). The site will most likely be up most of this time but if it goes down for a little while or if parts of the site become unavailable temporarily, this is why.


Staff : Starting at 8 AM central time, please don't add any content to any games during this maintenance. Things that you can still do include:
-Adding and assigning screenshots
-Adding boxart graphics
-Writing Reviews, Walkthroughs and Articles
-Adding Videos
-Rating Screenshots and Videos


If anyone has any questions, please ask in this thread. Thanks.

What do you think could be the cause of the site loading and or running slow, I always thought it ran slow at times due to stress on the servers especially with all the members here jumping from page to page on the site? Could it be a problem with the servers? Anyway's good luck with trying to fix this issue.

Divine Aurora : I don't know what the problem is because the site sometimes runs slow even during the dead hours. Also worth pointing out is that the site's traffic has dropped by nearly half over the past month and that should've increased the site speed but it didn't. It could be a DDoS of some sort.

I bought MOTHER 1 + 2 with the English translation but it never appeared on my profiles games list. The same goes for other games. It has been doing this for the past month.

I hope the site isn't being DDoS'd... There's a big problem of owning a popular site = the jealous people want to ruin it for you.
Sometimes the site just refuses to load - basically I wait for about 10 minutes before it loads a white screen without anything on it. I sort of hope it's my computer, but then I sort of hope it's the site.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
