In Star Fox Assualt Leon's voice has changed from a cold Austrialian accent into a high pitched "I'm a corn ball character" vioce!

What gives Nintendo?

It seems that Panther is Star Wolf's cool sidekick now.

I miss Leon's cold "Oh, I'll take care of you" .
Leon isn't that cool anymore. He sounds to goofey.

I believe that the voice actor of Leon in Star Fox Assault was a different voice actor than from the voice actor in Star Fox 64 either that or the voice actor of Leon suddenly had a major change in his voice.

You know, I was playing Star Fox Assault the other day and that thought occurred to me multiple times but it wasn't until now that I thought about it. And I have to say it annoys the crap outta me that they did change his voice. XD I mean it was pretty much perfect in Star Fox 64. I have to say though that Peppy's voice kinda irked me a little bit but they're going for him to sound more old which I can respect that. And Pigma really did sound more like a slob/pig-man. Sadly it looks like Leon got the short end of the stick this time I guess.

Sometimes I wonder why game designers and directors screw around with whats already perfect but I guess people can view things different and define whats perfect in there eyes. Just my two cents though.

Sword legion : Well then if you don't mind me saying, I really really REALLY like the original voice for Fox from N64. I mean I like some of the new ones, its okay but that N64 Star Fox voice is like music to my ears for some reason. Plus that's how he sounds in Super Smash Brothers, to me at least. So the N64 Fox voice is my version of canon. What are your thoughts on that, since we're on the subject of voice actors?

Well, I think that Leon's Original voice is best, and would consider it canon myself.
Leon just really isn't as cool since the voice change. :/

BUT WHY DID THEY CHANGE SUCH AN AWESOME VOICE?

It was perfect. It's like if you made a batch of cookies, and everyone told you:

"these Cookies are perfect"

And the chef decided to change the recipie! I just think that it's dumb.
Deep Austailian voices for the win.

I wish Sonic's voice was more consistent.

Sword legion : That was probably one of the best ways i've ever seen it put like that... But you are right on all points in my book at least. Leon sounded like he should've, like an egotistical assassin on your tail and going on about how he's "The Great Leon!". He was cocky in his own right and i'm sure everyone loved that. I didn't see that portrayed as much in assault and the voice for it didn't help either. At this point i'm sure we're here crossing our fingers for another good Star Fox game. I know there has been talks of another game but I don't want it to be one where I have to sit here and accept for what it is. I want it to be great!....And I want good voice actors to go with it too...

And I have to agree with you about Sonic as well. His voice was fine during Adventure and Adventure 2. Like it was believable that it WAS indeed Sonic himself come to life. The voice acting for Generations was okay...except for Shadow..I just put my head through the wall.
