Does anyone on Vizzed play or have played Runescape? If you play you can say your username. For anyone that don't know what Runescape is, its a browser based mmorpg. I have played on and off for years (started playing just about the time it came out) and I just started playing again after a year or two. My RS name is Misfit579

My username is Sancho248, I haven't played for a really, really long time. The newer runescape isn't as good as the older one.

MoblinGardens : You should give it another try, they have been working hard on the combat system and it is pretty good now. On a side note, I am so glad you posted on this dude, we really need to do some catching up.

GenesisJunkie : I used to play Runescape a lot, but I kinda just moved on. Playing Runescape was a pretty fun experience too. But I gave up on it.

GenesisJunkie : it was a fun short version where you gain levels insanely fast and the max for a skill is 115. I do remember the brothers (in the graveyard) instead of being below ground they were above ground
I would fight then for their armor and weapons and each one of the brothers 5 spawned. it was loads of fun and I remember this one time were I was fighting for money for the best sword in the game and this guy saw me and said :aww you don't have a [insert name of sword]" I said no he then said "well her you go you can have mine" I was so exited I swear I thanked him at least 20 times.

 it was really different im sure if you googled it you will find videos of it. its not online anymore it got shut down.

I used to play...I played 3 different versions lol - it keeps updating. Very nice updates I may add too.

Usually the biggest reason I stopped playing was the lag and the fact that to be quite honest, it was really pay-to-win. All the people who paid money for epic items and such, all in the best clans...lol. 

It's a great game though, such an open world with lots of quests to go on - I guess I just got bored after doing a tad too many quests for my liking.

Last time I played was when they changed the wild back to PvP with item drops. I absolutely loved how easy it was to level up your magic with that bear in the cage. I would literally cut trees, sell the logs, buy more runes, and spam the bear in Varrock and I actually started over with an account to try it and I went up like 20 combat levels in 2 hours and I was not even bored by it. Also fishing was really easy and profitable or I would just cook a bunch of trouts or salmon and sell them so I could buy armor sets. But ever since they changed the game completely I tried it, the lag was incredibly high, and it was the worst game I ever played. My old username was Deadend136 and I was combat level like 66 I think by the time I stopped playing. All and all it was a great online game and the older versions had barely any lag which I loved.

No I never did but my mom did I always wanted 2 play it, but every time I tryed 2 get a account there it wouldn't let me... it would always say couldn't display website page I don't get it, I don't know if there is something wrong with that website. But I tryed too apply recently n it said the same thing

I started playing RuneScape in 2005. I stopped for a few years then picked it up again in 2008 and I've been playing ever since. My username is Breath Mint.

GenesisJunkie : How have they improved it? Last I remember, it was just standing there letting them wail on each other until one dies. The only input you had on the battle itself was choosing one of 3 attack options, and using items and prayers/spells if you needed. But there was no real skill involved at all. 

I used to play all the time. My name was Eyedol8. For a while, I was one of the top 100 ranked miners. Surely I have been long dropped in that table though.

I always hated runescape I thought it was boring 

rcarter2 : The combat system has improved a lot from the days of smashing into each other in till someone dies lol, If you have ever played games like EverQuest or WOW (I have never played WOW, just going off of what I have heard) Its a lot like the combat system in those games, you have an action bar and different attacks that do different things and different times you can do those attacks. Before they started updating the people that used melee really had all the advantages but now it has been evened out. Melee is weak against magic, magic is weak against range, range is weak against melee.

I see. I was never really impressed with WOW combat systems. Though you can move around and all and had slightly more customizing with how you attack, I still found it just a slightly better version of Runescape. It was still pretty much purely based on stats and equipment, and much less with skill. Not saying stats and equipment should not have a heavy effect. But I like the concept that if someone was good enough, they technically could beat someone at a much higher level and much better equipment. In WOW, it is pretty much best stats is going to win.
