Lately, for some unknown reason, I've been getting a lot of younger guys interested in me. Some of them are WAY too young. It's flattering on some level, but I am not interested in YOUNGER guys. I don't know why all of a sudden they're all swarming me. I'm not trying to sound egotistical, it's just surprising. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but of course I do tell them I'm not interested without sounding too mean.

Any advice for me everyone?

Who knows. Sometimes younger guys like a woman who knows what she wants and is "chill" or "nice" and really isn't as high maintenance as they view girls their own age.

There isn't a whole lot you can do to get people to stop liking you...just keep being you and let these people know nicely that you aren't interested.

SunflowerGaming : Obviously, they like your attire/beauty. Unless, you've been around them, then they must think you're sophisticated. Tell them that they're sweet, and will find love...but not yet. Good advice if you ask me.

MechaMento : Actually I'm not that old. Maybe old enough to be their Aunt, not their Mother, unless I was like a YOUNG teenage Mother. LOL

I'd have to say just tell them upfront how you feel but try to be nice about it. Emotions are never an easy thing to talk about, with most people, but you feel a certain way about something you should just say it, in a nice way.

Aeonarial : Thank you. That's really good advice. I'll definitely do that. Just have to make sure I find the right words so I don't come across as being rude or mean.

What Aeonarial said, just be upfront with them. I would just tell them to stay around they own age. The right guy will come around for you, eventually.

If you're posting online at gaming websites you're going to run into a tremendous amount of males who think, "OMG A FEMALE!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!" and they'll say and do anything to get your attention.  They are uncomfortable outside in the real world and the online world is their playpen.  They're not serious, they try to flatter every single female out there hoping for a response.  The best way to stop them is to tell them you're not interested.  Leave it at that and don't respond anymore to their advances.

If you try to play it off and give age as a reason or your boyfriend or any other response, that becomes a hurdle to overcome.

"Gee, I'd like to talk but I have a boyfriend."

"So you're saying if you don't have a boyfriend, you'd talk.  I take that as interest."

That's the thought process.

Don't 'be nice' and 'let them down easy.'  Crush them.  They'll move on to the next girl and they'll forget you in 20 seconds flat.  There's nothing wrong with it and it clears the air.  You'll become one of the girls who doesn't talk to guys for relationships and you'll be left alone.  The same rules apply to the real life guys.  Shoot them down and tell them they offer nothing to you physically, emotionally, mentally.  That'll keep things moving.

But you can enjoy the attention while you get it.  Who doesn't like affirmation that they're attractive?
