so I got a nice new computer yesterday, super early birthday present you could say and I just had to brag, it was only about 400$ and it's got 2.4ghx processor, runs my games and the internet like a dream, it's so pretty to. @-@

That's awesome! I wish I could get a new computer or laptop but I have to stick with a computer that's probably just as old as me

There's nothing better than the feeling of a new computer. Well maybe SOME things are better, but when you're on the computer everyday, and you hate how slow it is, or you have to share with other people, and then you finally have your own sleek, fast computer... it's like being freed from prison.

So your PC has Windows 8 huh? You are so fortunate to get one like that whereas I'm stuck with Windows 7 for the time being...Oh well congrats to you getting a new PC then.

crazycatpup : I don't wanna sound like a jerk, and I'm very happy for you, but I seem to be the only one with a working knowledge of PC's in the thread, so here I go. It's much faster and efficient to build a PC. I'm sure your PC suits your needs fine and that's great. However, you can buy the individual parts and assemble them for so much cheaper that you could play games as demanding as BattleField 3 at a respectable framerate for $500. I have a gigantic case that looks like a spaceship, it cost me $250 because I'm going for a very demanding build. (2 Graphics Cards, 5 GHz 8 Core Processor, 16GB DDR5 1866mhz RAM, etc). Just wanted to pass some knowledge along because I love working with computers and getting the best performance possible for the price. Anyway, congrats and have fun! (Hope I didn't sound too arrogant or judgmental, it was not my intention.)

Very very nice! And an Acer no less. Acer has been doing really good with their desktops and laptops as of late, surpassing Dell and HP (at least in my eyes they are). And those are definitely some nice specs too. And reading through the comments I see it came with the infamous "Windows 8 no star button" issue, heheh. I know what that's like since I worked in a computer shop for awhile and Windows 8 first came out. Man that was tricky to catch on to every time. I recently got myself a new Toshiba with Windows 8. I don't mind Windows 8 personally though I know it drives everyone up a wall without the start button.
