After I saw a Video on Mike's 50 N.E.S. Boss Fights. (The "A.V.G.N." Sidekick dude.)
I thought there would be a ton of tales to find on peoples stories on Boss Fights.

Results?
.......
There are not many to find.

So I decided to have a thread for folks to Discuss their Epic Wins. Could Be a Lone Title. Could be a handful. Could Be a list too. But for the Listers?
I request at least one Paragraph of a Boss Battle. (Paragraph= 3 Sentences. Does not have to be perfect English grammar either.)

The second rule is for people to use quotation marks for the game title and or Boss name. (Example= "Bowser" from the "Super Mario Brothers" games.)

After that?
Its all good. Post what you want and be cool.

Eventually I'll post up one of my Epic Wins.
Today?
I'm just not in the mood to type.

Good Luck.
Peace.

One time in "Super Mario World" I was facing the final boss, "Bowser". It was my second try I think that time, and I got to the last part, where he tries to smash into you. I was at my last life, and was able to throw up the Koopa bots, and it hit "Bowser" when he was just a few pixels from squishing me. It was a pretty awesome feeling.

O.K.
I have a current one.
"The Fear".
From "M.G.S.3".
With out the Item Known as the "Thermal Goggles"? The fight is fairly tuff. Kind of like fighting "the Predator" from the movies.
For noobs that use strategy guides and snag the Thermal Goggles? The fight is "sub-Par".
For Fearless pros that go in with out the cheats and Maps? It is a good Boss Fight.
After I got though this battle I took a day off before I faced "the End".
Results?
The dude is a push-over.
I had a harder time with "Sniper Wolf" in "M.G.S.1."
For guys like me who have played a ton of unfair games? "The End" is a Joke.

For the Epic Boss Fight Wins stuff?
I have to go with "Devil May Cry 3".
The Battles with Virgil are the most Epic I can think of.
Particularly if you go through the game without upgrading as much as possible. (Like only when you need to.)

The first Battle seems to stand out to me.
If you go through the game without upgrading? Then the fight seems almost unfair.
You keep honing your skills.
Later after the umpteenth time?
You crack and go for the upgrades.
With this first Virgil Boss Fight?
I did not crack. I Hammered out the pattern and defeated him without upgrades or Power assist items like extra health stars or devil trigger stars.
I may not be much good at predicting the game designers ideas but this odd habit tended to prove useful in the "M.C.Eschter Maze Boss Fight Rush".
I had no idea that I would have to fight al the boss battles again in one go.
The work Paid off and the rewards are great.
When I unlocked Virgil's story? I had no reservations on playing through the onslaught again.
No Breaks needed. I just kept on going.

Epic or not. I still think it fits well in anyone's video game diet.
I have more stories of epic wins but I want to hear more of yours.
Good Luck.
Peace.

The newest game i bought for the ps2 is called
'Orphen scion of sorcery" If anybody has played this game then you will know that the bosses don't have a name.
They just show up and you fight them.
The hardest fights in the game was this one fight with this boss that kind of looked like a huge devil.
You fight him for territory in a narrow hall way. If he hits you then he knocked you back very, very far. And if you get knocked off the edge
then you die. You have 2 hit this guy with your sword with precise timing in order 2 win. It took me around 100 times 2 beat him. And i am not exaggerating either. The other hardest fight was the final boss. You are jumping from broken platforms down a endless edge and this electric kind of snake looking boss would disappear and then reappear randomly so it was really hard 2 hit. But when it disappeared you had a small chance 2 aim and hit some bricks 2 do damage. It also had this charge technique that took down almost 3 crystals of health and when it got down 2 its final 3 crystals that is all it attacked with so you had 2 attack and kill it really fast if you wanted 2 live. This game doesn't have in game saving so if you got a game over you had 2 start from the last time your game saved which sucks, because at the end you had 2 fight two bosses and one boss is right before the last electric snake boss. But it has 3 different stories also and i only beat the first story. I am not sure what the other 2 are like yet. This game is pretty short, i beat the first story in under 2 days. It only took 5 hours of game play 2 beat it. But the cool thing about this game is if your in a losing battle just press start and hit change equipment and to go back you just press the triangle button and you will restart the boss battle with full health. You don't even have 2 change any equipment if you don't want 2. But the downfall is you can't use any potions in any boss fights. So if your about 2 die it is better 2 do that then 2 have 2 start the game from your last save point. Especially considering you cant hit a button 2 skip over any story lines and some of the story lines are 5 minutes or longer. And each time you die you have 2 watch it all again. Unless you hit change equipment and start the battle over.

My favorite boos, though somewhat frustrating, is Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 2. Definitely more challenging than the final boss fight against Xemnas. Sephiroth in the original Kingdom Hearts was too strong, I could never beat him.

Any one ever fight the Peace Walker from Metal Gear Peace Walker?
The Fist couple of fights are nothing.
But once you get into the "Zidornov" Missions.
The thing tuns into a beast.
Not to mention the "A.I." Weapons, Tanks, Or other "Mechs".
Good Luck.
Peace.

Ok in *Final Fantasy X* I am trying to defeat the dark aeons and unlock a mega boss. I have given up before because of how hard I tried in the past....so I said to myself to try again! I have beaten 4 of them so far...... dark valefor, dark infrit, dark ixion and dark Shiva all of them did give me a hard time in a way..... the one I am struggling to beat now is dark bahmunt, hes an annoying one but I have a feeling I will soon. Many like to use yojimbo to win it but, since I love challenges I decided, just to use my party and see what happens..... when I have beaten one of them I have that electrical good feeling and go onto the next one with excitement. If I get beaten then I think and strategize on how to attack again. *strategize* I grew up knowing that on every RPG game I played and put it to got use. Ok back to the point, so..... I have yet to full this gaming goal.  I have defeated Sephiroth in KH2 man was he hard to the bone. It took me 10-20 times to beat him.....but that was many years ago it was truly an epic fight that one was.... if I remember any more I'll come back and post it...

One Epic win was in pokemon heart gold. Yes i said pokemon.

It was just my ho-oh against like dragonites that where higher levels than me.
Anyway i was just like i will keep this battle going to see how far i will get. Anyway fast forward the fight it was just a higher level dragonite against my ho-oh. I could not get a single hit on him. So i keep spamming full restores.

About 20-30 turns left he has to use hyper beam. It barely did any damage. So then i finally get some hits on it and in the end it starts using struggle and dies.

Epic Boss Battle:

"Chaos" from "Final Fantasy Dissidia"

I was playing as Cloud, and it was an...annoying battle to say the least. Chaos is the last boss, and by then, surely one would have become good at the game. Same case here.

I kept smashing Chaos into the walls, using Cross Slash and Braver a lot. Chaos only hit me once...kind of upsetting how easy he was, but relieved I finished the game at least.

I guess seeing how I downgrade Chaos, he shouldn't really be considered epic in this case. But, he really is one epic boss...I was just too good for him

I cant really think of one besides Salt-Upon-Wounds from the Honest Hearts DLC from Fallout: New Vegas. He really isnt a boss per say, but he is the final person before the last "room" of the DLC. He is incredibly harder then he looks packing a huge punch with his weapon and he has some of his lackys hanging around ready to kill. Sure i killed him kinda fast, but he went down fighting.

"Marvel vs Capcom 3". "Galactus"
After trashing Onslought or Apokolypse you are not weak at these games.
Then Galactus comes and its a new "ball game" all together.
Who had trouble beating this guy?
I want to hear because I can always do it.
Even with characters I am terrible with.
Not epic.
Just lame.
Is this a new trend?

Good Luck.
Peace.

I was facing off against "Gary" in "Pokemon Red." It was the final boss for who would be declared champion. So anyways, some stuff happened, and it was eventually my blastoise agains his arcanine. We both were down on low hp, and were forced to use struggle. It was epic. So We both had like 5 hp left, and we were struggling for the win. I make the last attack, and, BAM! I win with 2 hp left. I was literally cheering out loud, and my mom was like, "what is wrong with that kid...". It was truly epic though

The greatest victory is a battle not fought.  So when I saw my friend catch Kyogre with a normal Poke Ball on his first try on my copy of Pokemon Emerald, I was hyped.  He had said, watch, and I'll catch Kyogre or something like that. I asked him if he did anything special, and he replied no.  He hadn't been fiddling with the buttons or anything, it just seemed that he knew that he was going to catch it.
