I would probably pick Lee Everret from the Walking Dead as my dad. He's human yet he's probably still the best dad to have during a zombie apocalypse. As for a character that's not plain normal I'd probably go for Ezio Auditore or Nathan Drake. Be an assassin or a bad @$$ adventurer it's a win win for me.

Jak, from Jak and Daxter. Aside from his being a time traveling legend, he has a natural aptitude to channel all kinds of Eco. That would be a really cool power to have, especially if it came with mastery of light and dark Eco as well. Also, having Daxter as an "uncle" of sorts could make for some pretty entertaining situations.

If I could have any one character as my dad  I would probably have to say link because he is an awesome swordsman and he has a ton of great skills that I hope he would be willing to pass down to me. I mean my dad is already awesome enough the way he is now, but I think that link would be pretty cool if I were to have any video game character as my dad. My second pick would probably be Ike or marth from fire emblem because of their skills, I don't know what it is, but I think it would be pretty cool if I could pick up the skills to become a knight or a swordsman. So those are my choices. Cool thread by the way.

I know he is a reploid but I would say Zero. Zero is bold, no nonsense, stands up for what is right and doesn't care how he has to do it. Not to mention he uses a Saber and a buster. I am already like Zero in a way because I'm serious, no nonsense, and a leader  type person. But he could teach me how to use a saber and become a master at it.

If I were able to have any game character as my dad, I would pick... Garry from Ib. Garry is in a world where everything is quickly trying to kill you, but he isn't trying to focus only on his own safety. He's constantly watching out for Ib. But even with that, he isn't a constant worry wort over her safety, he trusts her judgement and believes in her so when they get separated he trusts that she is smart enough to keep herself alive through the puzzles.

I know the relationship between Garry and Ib is supposed to be romantic, but it seemed more like a family between the three rose carriers. Garry is a joker who knows when to be serious, protective but able to let a girl stand for herself, and a loyal caring man. I think he would have made a great dad.

Also you gotta love the blue hair.

Well, Mario and Luigi can do many things, I would pick Mario over Luigi though since Luigi is easily scared but brave thought while Mario would do anything. But since they would be smaller than me that would be weird :O 
Other than that, I would say Dr. Disc from Robopon. He's a doctor with a 7 tall feet building, he gives you a rare robopon and invented a time machine! He's a skilled battler as well.
