I know a couple extensions on Firefox and Chrome has some plug-ins and extensions that has ad-blocks to block ads, do you happen to use any of those ad blockers, if so, what ad blocker you use, for me, I use Adblock Plus, how about you?

I use adblock and adblock + extensions on chrome to block ads. I find ads annoying and that is why I stopped using internet explorer because it always had them on every page I visited. Chrome is great and I use adblock extensions and I never have to worry about annoying ads popping up all the time, so yes I use them on chrome.

Razor-987 : That's the way with me, I don't like ads at all so I never use Internet Explorer. especially some of those offensive adult sexual ads, those are disgusting to look at.

Well I use both/alternate usage between both Mozilla FireFox and Google Chrome and I don't use any ad-block extensions on both browsers. To me it seems like the browsers them self have pretty good ad-block software already on them and ad's generally get blocked all by them self on the versions of the browsers I'm using.

IgorBird22: yeah I know, I hate all of that stuff, it is stupid and disgusting, I might be playing a game and ads about pimple treatment or the before and after results of weight losing diets might pop up and I am like, that is gross, I really don't need to see that.

That is why I never use internet explorer anymore, it is slow and it comes with like 1000 ads on every page I visit, and they are all stupid. That is why I use chrome and download extensions that block this garbage and make it run faster so I don't have to worry about it.

I've always used Firefox because the ads don't seem that bad compared to IE.

If you need to use an ad blocker, I think it also depends what site you frequent -- if that site has an over-abundance of ads that are out of place and 'just there for the sake of revenue'. Vizzed on the other hand, I think, has minimal ads, and they aren't obstructive to my browsing.

I use AdBlock for Chrome, which is basically the same add-on as in Firefox.

I also use scriptsafe for Chrome - protects you from unauthorized websites running javascript. This makes me immune to a lot of ads that Adblock might not find, as well as "shock" sites, videos and audio don't automatically play when I visit a web page, and even more popups will be blocked.
The only downside is you have to click the green button on any website you trust, the first time you visit the page, before Javascript will run.

I also use DoNotTrackMe which prevents advertising companies (or any company you choose to filter) from tracking my activity online, including Facebook.

It's weird then because I have no idea what ad this is you're talking aout. Maybe it depends what anti-virus you have to delete tracking cookies.

I would normally be using AdBlock Plus with my browser, as it usually really gets the job done. However, Chrome has a tendency to randomly uninstall my extensions when it gets the chance, and I haven't installed any since the last time it did so. So currently, no ad block program. Before, however, I had AdBlock Plus.

To be honest, I have an ad blocker for Google Chrome named "Adblocker +".
It blocks every ad you can see, and it's very helpful for the sites that require you to watch 5 adverts to sign up or play a game.
I don't use my ad blocker on sites I trust, like this, and sites that aren't up-in-yo-face with the adverts.

Another problem is the rude adverts. Some adverts have pictures of naked people, and some others.
And then there is the "Play a game. Why not? It's fun." So, you click on whatever to begin the game, then it takes you to a site FULL of viruses.

I'm a sucker to fall for viruses, so I ended up installing adblocker (which was as risky as what I did last week - I'll make a thread for that later) and boom, all the stupid, annoying adverts are gone.

If you have adblocker, please turn it off for sites you trust! It helps earn people money and keep the site up

I use Ad block plus, on firefox, it's a great ad blocker for many reasons,  1 it doesn't take up a whole lot of usage, 2 it doesn't affect the view of a page all that much, 3 most ads I see everyday are now gone.

I am currently looking for a AdBlock system.
I will probably get AdBlock plus, lots of people seem to use it and people find it helpful because it removes ads and it is reliable.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
