You know that really good show about a pink dog named Courage, who was scared of, almost anything? Yeah, the one with the monsters and that old farmer with the lines "Stupid Dog". I remember that show, also remember that it was cancelled. But why? Why would such a great show be cancelled.

Canceled implies that a show was removed off air before finally coming to an end due to poor ratings or the creators choice. Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, Fosters, and all the other older Cartoon Network shows were not cancelled, and simply came to a closing and were taken off air to make way for newer shows. Granted, I agree that these shows deserve the air time that was taken from them, but they were not cancelled, by any means.
Courage was a fantastic show, and came it when animation was in its prime. It certainly pushed the limits of cartoons back then, and was very well made and had obvious passion put into it.

indeed, courage was awesome. it had a lot of good episodes and it was great seeing courage deal with whatever horror was the focus of them, definitely one of my favorites from the older days of cartoon network.

But I think courage was one of the few (possibly only) that did it in a comedy style. other darker animated works that are still good for kids that come to mind right away for me are Digimon tamers (it has some pretty straight played scenes that are kinda creepy, unlike courage's stuff which is still fine for a chuckle in most cases) and the batman animated series, though admittedly some of the darker more gritty and serious stuff in the batman cartoon will probably fly over the heads of young viewers and they will just enjoy the hero beating up the baddies and whatnot.

The show wasn't that bad when I was alot younger but still dark stuff right there but it didn't deserve to be canceled if children's parents got a problem with it just don't make your kids watch the show simple.

It was a excellent show for me.
It had dark humour and had lots of deaths but they were brought back to live somehow.

MANNN !!! I miss that show so much ! It was amazing, I wish they would have kept it going, there were some episodes that scared me as a kid, like the Kats Motel spider episode and the Were-Mole and the mattress possession one. Now cartoon network is full of shows that don't make any sense, to me at least.

Well there where times were there was a few times when it was really scary yet it was a little wacky which is why I got hooked to show, and you cannot make another show with a pink cowardly dog living in the middle of nowhere with wacky antic coming every time from time. It had to be the best cartoon I've seen in my childhood.

I don't know why this show was canceled, but I absolutely miss this show. I didn't watch Cartoon Network very much, but the only time I did watch it (with the exception of Adult Swim) was when this show was on. I just couldn't get enough of this show. If it was still on, you can believe I would still be watching it. Its true that that dog was scared of just about everything, but it was funny when he would scream and make that face. It was the funniest show ever that took place in the middle of nowhere. Courage will always be missed.
