I saw the SEGA Spectrum photo that every was talking about and I think it looks like a fake. The G in the SEGA logo looks slanted and the border of the logo looks grainy. But if SEGA does eventually do this, they should develope a new Sonic Adventure game. I think they should make a Ristar Adventure type game, Ristar has some potential, I think. And also Knuckles Chaotix sequel. Yeah!

I would love to see a new Sega console, but let's be honest here, I don't think that there's any room in the console market for another console. There's already the three main competitors, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. Maybe a handheld would be more likely, since there's only two main competitors for handhelds, the 3DS and the Vita (I prefer 3DS). But even still, it would be hard to create a new handheld and have it be popular. I think Sega needs a hit game right now, and worry about consoles later.

Davideo7 : I'd say the best part about it, now that it's dead, is that people are still making and porting games for the Dreamcast. For example, Cave Story itself was even ported quite recently.

And to think, people are still able to love this system like this today due to a horribly failed plan to eliminate piracy!

Well now that I think about (wait!? I can think!? Oh My God!) If Sega can get Nintendo help in this (as in a way that Nintendo is a 1st and third party developer. Yeah I am insane) Sega can pull it off and if they don't use Nintendo help then they Hopefully  can get the Funds and the right people to make the console itself then (oh ma GAWD THERES A NEW SEGA SYSTEM!) SEGA is gonna blow your freaking minds! This has been a post by yours truly Paper Luigi.

It is a slight chance they do. Sega have some pretty old systems, and it would be a miracle for them to whip out some brand new system just like that. I don't think it will happen, but I do have faith to heck yeah. I want more Sega systems .

I would hope it would be a whole lot cheaper than the newer consoles because I hope I'm not forced to get a 600 dollar console that's a bit too much if you ask me.

      A lot of people are saying that their biggest problem is the funding but how you know that if you're not in charge of their finances? We have to assume that the know what they're doing with their money seeing that they're still a major brand almost everyone, gamers or not, know of today. The question is do you think they have been sitting back watching what the people have been buying during the years and what if they put a new innovative console out that they know would grab peoples attention. Who's to say that they're not doing that? If they did, I would bet they would make it similar to the Nintendo style, ya know, with innovative controllers and other interactive gizmos. 
      
      Also, I can't really see another company trying to help them do this, like Nintendo, because I could be damaging to their sales. The only way that might happen is if they get a percentage but how long will that last. Sega would probably want independence from Nintendo so they could comfortably topple the current leading company's like Nintendo without regret, ha ha. I had another reason why Sega probably wouldn't want help but I can't remember it at the moment... 

MegaRevolution1 : It is quite amazing at how popular the Dreamcast still is. People still play various games online with user hosted servers, people still create emulators for the system, people still create homebrew games for it, people still port games to it, it's just awesome. Btw, thanks for the link, that's pretty cool.

If Sega made a new console, I would definitely buy it day 1. Having their own next gen console could be the perfect opportunity to bring back series such as NiGHTs, Shenmue, and even Sonic Adventure.

Of course, if they are working on a new console, they'd have to wait until after their 3 Nintendo exclusive Sonic games are out.
