I have been playing the last of Us recently, and in most Zombie games you just shoot zombies, but in this game surviving is really brutal, it actually feels like your trying to survive. Anyway it got me thinking that if a real Zombie apocalypse happened would I/ you survive it. Honestly I don't think that I would be able to survive, first off I am kind of chubby, so I don't I am fit enough to run away or what not. The 2nd is that in the commercial for the game Ellie says " You either hang on to your morals, and die, or do whatever it takes to survive" I think I am the first option, I just don't think I would be able to kill, it is so against my morals. Maybe I am being a pacifist but if surviving means you have to kill, then I think id rather just be killed. Anyway what do you think, do you have what it takes, please let me know. But please try to answer realistically.   

Realistically thinking I think I would last maybe one or two years in a zombie apocalypse. I would try to live as long as I could off of stolen food and others. I do have the kill or be killed attitude but I couldn't kill loved ones or people I hold dear if I had/need to so ultimate if a loved one became a zombie I would be done for.  

I could most likely survive in the physical part.  I could definitely outrun zombies and probably a lot of other people.  I don't think I would honestly have a problem with smashing someone across the face with a baseball bat, and I'm being completely honest.  I think it would start to get a little bit difficult once I have run out of stolen foods and just scavenging for foods.  I do not hunt or have any skill like that what-so-ever.  I'd probably have to figure some out quick if I wanted to survive past then.  That would probably be my weak point is finding the food.   

Honestly I'd probably be the first person to die, I'm super weak and I'd just never survive long at all, unless I had some super strong person protecting me.

Doubt it. I can't run and I can't hit, and I'll most likely be useless against zombies attacking me. I should just join them since I mostly have the qualities for being one, lol.

crazycatpup : I can try and watch your back, Luna fans have to stick together, But now to actually answer the question. Do I have the physical abilities, Maybe... I'm also a pretty smart person and a natural and trained leader, But I'm still not perfect, Even with training I can still make mistakes, And I'm not the kinda guy who would forsake his humanity, Although nothing is certain, But on the upside most sources say that Zombies are more active hunters at night, While this may just be because humans are (mostly) daytime oriented beings while Zombies can walk on the bottom of a lake or ocean, But, like I said, On the upside I'm accustomed to staying in tune with my surroundings, Especially at night, I have bad vision and need glasses, I haven't always had glasses to rely on so my other sense have had some rather nice training, I've also been boxing for a few years now, So I don't think smashing a skull would be impossible for me, Not to mention I have a few bicycles that I use a lot and have ready to go, as long as I can keep that maintained I'll be set with mobility, But on the down side I'll need extra food, food... That'll be a serious problem, I don't have any idea of knowing if I'll even be able to find or make enough food to get by, While I've had a lot of experience in survival (mainly mountains and forests) I'm no expert, I grew up in the woods on a mountain, I've known how to take care of myself from a small age,  But take into consideration, These aren't exactly animals, Seeing as zombies aren't real (probably) I have no idea of knowing how fast let's say... A freshly turned world class athlete could run, Would it still have its physical memories? Will it be smart enough to maybe use some martial arts the person had in his/her life? I can't really say, While I'm capable with a some guns and just about every close quarter weapon style, I'm not perfect and I could mess up or be caught off-guard, When it came to sleeping, If I was alone I would probably strap myself in high in a tree assuming I could find some rope or cord, What if I got sick or fall victim to a disease? Even if I found medicine or made some, No guarantee it'll work with the desired affect or at all, I'm not the best when it comes to medicine, Would I find help? I don't know, I definitely know people I could turn too, But maybe they'll leave me to take care of love ones and not even think about me before it's too late, Maybe I'll get knocked before I get the chance to reach them, Maybe I'll be nuked, Maybe they won't be themselves when I get there, And in a world of that much chaos, I won't trust many people, Despite trying to keep my trust from other people, You know the saying once burnt twice shy? I've been burned more then enough times to trust most people off the bat, There is also the problem of sanity.... I'm already not the most stable person in this respect, Then again I am, It's because I'm not like most people that I am stable, I'm not into senseless violence or anything truly insane, But I'm no war scarred "James Bond" who can handle years of torture without breaking, I'm simply me, So... Could I survive the Zombie apocalypse, I don't think so, Maybe, It's possible, That's if the world survives, Who know, My area might get nuked, And I don't exactly have a bomb shelter anywhere near me (except a military fort about 7 miles away, Doubt I'll make it in there.) So sure, I'm strong and smart, But I'm only one person, And aren't we talking apocalypse here? That's a class 4 infestation, That's global, I might survive a while though, I'm probably too good willed to survive indefinitely though, At least I'm already trained to kill in un-armed self defence if I have too, But who's to say any bandit that might attack me isn't trained too? I've spent a good 20 minutes on this post and could keep going, I already doubt anyone is gonna wanna read it now though so I'm gonna rap this up, Enjoy your time, You only get so much.

Yeah, I could survive a Zombie Apocalypse, mostly by my experience of watching zombie movies, just have a gun with you, but as for food, I can last like a couple years with the food I have.

we would all like to think we would survive but I doubt most of us are mentally or physically tough enough to survive it. More than likely we would be dead within the first week or 2.

Nope I wouldn't survive even though I think I could I guess I'm doubting myself right now I guess but it is the truth I guess.

Of course I could if I hid and ran all the time. It is really hard to survive one if you let fear take over.

I would not know how long I would survive... but as long as I am near an ammo cache on a military installation, I should hold out for awhile, seeing as how I know how to use a good bit of the Army's weapons, to an extent. I give myself 2 years, or until the ammo runs out... then I die. XD

Maybe, if I had a gun. I would hide in a closet all day, though, to be honest. Unless they can open doors, I'd stay in there with my family. Otherwise I'd go blow their brains out.

         If a Zombie apocalypse plagued us, you all can rest assured that we'd survive. You wanna know why? Because I have a massive amount of people that would love to be unleashed in a crowd of Zombies with just a pistol and a hatchet just so they can tear them apart with their built up anger. And I'm positive that there are more people out there ready to go crazy on some zombies. So many frustrated people would jump at the opportunity to direct their rage at something like a Zombie; a deadly blood thirsty diseased beast that needs to be put down. I know it sounds savage, but it would be a savage time. In the zombie apocalypse, it's important to keep your stress down and zombie hunting is a good way to do that.

         In fact, I'm sure some rich fat cats would pay a large sum to a squad that patrols the area taking down zombies, maybe there would be a price per head. I'd be out killing zombies 24/7 if I was getting paid for it! If the country starts to look like it's getting overrun, the governments should do the same: pay civilians for zombie heads which is proof of a zombie kill. 

I think I could survive the zombie apocalypse because there is a Walmart right near where I live. I would just gather a bunch of friends, barricade ourselves in, then we are set for a while! There is a gun section, the only problem with that is that there is a scarce amount of ammo. There is a ton of food for years, and there is electronics for playing some Call of Duty while off duty. Go to Walmart if you want to survive! 

Yes I can try to survive a zombie apocalypse if I had anything that uses bullet, a war plane, and food because I'll not eat an inactive zombie.

I believe my family and I would survive, over half of my family has military training, the rest of us are avid hunters and survivalist, my dad is an Armageddon nut an has stockpiles of weapons, ammunition, and food. If we didn't survive the entire apocalypse and help wipe zombies off of the earth than we'd be one of the last groups standing for sure. I don't think zombies could mess with the state of Texas though, too many heavily armed and trained people.
