No probably because I never had any kind of surgery before those are needed most on really harmed patients but I never even been a patient before though.

I have had surgery twice now, and I've been on breathing masks both times.

It does suck, big time. The worst part is this feeling of being claustrophobic; I'm not usually like that, but feeling that mask on my face was really hard. Especially when I was half out of it on drugs. Mom said they had to keep putting it back on because I'd pull it off like I couldn't breathe, which was dumb because that's where the oxygen was.

It also dried my mouth, lips, nose and face out really bad from the oxygen. The nurse said a lot of people got like that but that mine was fairly bad. The second surgery I was smart enough to have chapstick with me because the stuff they gave me at the hospital was really gross.

One time I ate crab siomai (with real crabs, not crab sticks) and I wasn't aware that I was allergic to some certain kinds of crabs; I had an internal allergy due to it and was followed shortly by asthma attack. I was brought to the hospital and when I woke up, I had oxygen mask. I was confined for about a week and it didn't feel good at all to me, but I like the 'pureness' of the oxygen from the tank.

Juliet : I don't even want to live that experience! And yes the oxygen feels good and pure as I wore one today because I was having trouble breathing.



EDIT: You can buy an oxygen mask from your local health depo so if you want to feel the purness of the oxygen again you can do that but oxygen is flammable. Check out wikipedia for more about oxygen masks

Thankfully I don't have any asthma problems and I don't need to have an inhaler or need to wear an oxygen mask. I can't imagine what that must feel like to wear one. I am sorry that you needed to use one. I have just never had that problem where I  needed to go to the doctor's and needed to wear one because the last time I had a problem was with broken bones and I was like 7 or 8 or so . So it has been a long time since I have been to the hospital before let alone wear an oxygen mask. Several of my friends have asthma and they have had to wear these before, but I haven't and I am thankful that I am not allergic to anything or have asthma.
