On Thursday, June 13th, at 11:00 am (central time) I'm going to be netplaying in the Retro Game Room for about 8 hours straight. I'll be live streaming it all so that anyone can watch but most of you who will get an opportunity to play with me if you're interested.

If this goes well, I'll probably do another one of these later in the summer. I'm hoping this will give users a chance to play with me or get to know me who have never had a chance and I'm also hoping that it'll spark more interest in Vizzed netplay. For those who don't know, many of the games in the RGR support netplaying. You can find and join netplay sessions on the Netplay Lobby page. You can also create netplay sessions if you own the Netplay Item which can be purchased for 25,000 Viz from the Item Shop

Here are the games I'll be playing based on time:
11:00 AM: 5 Player Competitive Games = will include various Bomberman games and Moto Roader
12:00 PM: N64 = we'll attempt to play various 4-player N64 games
01:00 PM: Viz Matches = I pick from games I'm good at and give out free Viz to users who can beat me in 1 on 1 games
02:00 PM: User Requests = users in the netplay lobby can request what games to play
03:00 PM: Reward Matches = users have a chance at winning special items from beating me; entry fees involved
04:00 PM: YouTube Requests = users on the live streaming YouTube page can request games
05:00 PM: 4 Player Co-Op Games = will include Nightmare On Elm Street and Gauntlet 1 and/or 2
06:00 PM: 2 vs 2 Bomberman = I form a team and let other teams take on me and my teammate

Great Idea! Maybe we'll get more people on Netplay this way (hopefully nice people). I'm looking forward to it, I'll probably be there, since I'm on netplay all the time these days... ^^

ender44 : No sign ups, you just gotta be in the netplay lobby at the time.

evilcon09 : You don't need the netplay item to join sessions.

I am pretty much screwed out of this if my flight does not land until I think 4:55PM EST, huh? Dang it, David. Always got to make things difficult for me. XD

thing1 : As I've said, the live stream video will be saved to my youtube account so you can always watch any part of it after it has been streamed.

Thursday seemed like the best day. Friday the site has a lot of traffic and Saturday and Sunday the site has even more traffic. Having this take place on a day where the site has a lot of traffic increases the chances of the site being slow and laggy and that could potentially cause problems with the netplaying. I'm also always busy on the weekends.

Davideo7 : Yeah... that makes a lot of sense, now. Next time I have a 3 day or a 4 weekend, I will let you know, so you can see if you can do something then, if I am still in the Army. 

Darn. I'm gonna be off to Florida for some Theme Park fun by that time . Oh well, maybe we'll do another one later this summer, technically it isn't even summer yet lol ,.Have fun y'all and I hope to join Netplay sessions soon and later make my own sessions when I reach 25,000 Viz. 

I'll be at least watching the stream as long as no one in my house is using Netflix at the time, I might be in the Netplay lobby, it all depends. I am looking forward to this though, this sounds awesome.

Davideo7 : Can't wait. Sounds awesome. Especially getting some Nighmare on Elm Street in. Me and you haven't played that together for a long time. I will make sure that I at least pop in several times during the stream and take you on in some games. So count on me being there.

Thursdays a good day for me but I don't think I will be competing at all so I might just watch besides you would probably beat me anyways.

Davideo7 : What exactly are the rewards in reward matches? I already own all of the useful items in the item shop. 

earthwarrior : There'd probably be no rewards for you. Rewards would probably include Netplay Item, V-Machine, Laptop and probably Playstation item.

Davideo7 : So if I win can I have the psx item or Viz instead? 

earthwarrior : The reward hour will be for items and not for Viz. You can get the Playstation item though.

I would be happy to be able to join on the net plays, but whenever I try to play a game with others (super Nintendo is the only net play that I can play) it lags like crazy! Like as if I have 0.5 frames per second! This isn't the problem of the net play, its just my computer. I hope you can make some GBA multi play able.

StealStealer : Sometimes it helps to restart your computer before netplaying.
