Bleh, i didn't really like this new type release very much. i thought of all pokemon snubbull would be a fairy type, but they apparently haven't confirmed it yet.

But honestly i didn't think anybody on vizzed would know who it was. But still i felt the need 2 use one of the most powerful
dragons of all time that is not from any anime as an example for how ridiculous a fairy sounds being strong against a dragon.

They should call it holy not fairy and dark should be weak to it not steel

People are being negative about them being super effective against dragon types because dragons are strong and proud creatures with little to no weakness and they are going 2 make a little fairy super effective against strong creatures who would  clearly kick the crap out of a fairy if both fairies and dragons was real. I know that their is a kotmoto dragon but i'm talking about legendary dragons.

bloodyb : but there's some talk bout this being based on Chinese/Japanese mythology. this is Pokemon, most of the stuff is based on Japan.

A Chinese dragon is still a fierce fire breathing dragon that has pretty much the body of a snake. I just think the idea is really, really stupid. I guess everybody is entitled 2 their own opinion though. Even if it's completely ridiculous.

like I said, people making a big deal bout this is childish. all Pokemon have weaknesses.

I also heard that they will be immune to dragon type moves I really neutral about this, besides dragon types need another weakness their overpowered slightly I really want to get the game. Fairy type is super effective to dark because fairies are known to be tricksters, so basically that would make scene. However being strong against fighting I have a problem with at the moment, fighting is the light type fighting against evil which is the dark type. Poison type I can see a good weakness for the fairy type Pokémon, fairies are said to be pure being like an angel poison type is anti-pure tainted so that make scene.

I really don't hate it nor really like it I'm in between this might be a good idea, let's wait and see about the weaknesses I might get the game to find out.

People who thinks the new Fairy Type is stupid or sucks, READ THIS:
To be honest, I really LOVE the new fairy type. Game Freak said that the "Fairy" type isn't based off of well... Fairies, but more based off of magic. Haters could hate all they want but, I don't mind. Fairies are like the "Light" type of Pokemon and Dragons are consider dark and monstrous creatures. So its basically dark vs light, and that's how it makes sense that then new fairy type can beat dragon types. And for you guys who keep thinking that fairies shouldn't beat dragon types-well.... Dragon types are consider OP, and well, they needed something to counter that. So they made the "Fairy" type. Fairy Tales are more then real, they don't just tell us that dragons can exist... but that they can be beaten. I hope the fairy type haters would change their mind and say "Hey! Maybe they're not THAT bad! We gave dark and steel types a chance so wynaut Fairy?"

hilacle : Well to be honest, Dark-types were needed because Ghost type Pokémon had no weaknesses during Generation 1. So it was only logical that Nintendo make Ghost weak against something.

Steel I think best sums up your statement better. Steel is good against Rock Pokémon, even thou Rock Pokémon had a ton of weaknesses (Fighting, Ground, Water, Grass); so Steel didn't have to be good against Rock. If anything it could have been good against Electric (which at the time didn't have that many weaknesses). That's not to say Steel was a good addition because Pokémon did need a "Machine-type" pokemon to balance out what Magnitite and voltorb is (they are clearly not "pure electric-types" like Pikachu, Raiku, or Electrabuzz.)

To your point on dragons being dark and monstrous creatures, I think that is a valid reasoning to why Fairy would be good against Dragons

Finally, I like what you did with the wynaut thing.

Why don't they just call it a magic type instead of fairy type? I think they should of made a warrior type that would be super effective against dragon type pokemon. Warriors are the dragon slayers after all. It would only make sense considering that they made dragon pokemon weak against other dragon pokemon and ice attacks. ln mythology the only things that could kill another dragon is another dragon, being froze 2 death or a strong warrior. Wizards couldn't kill a dragon but they could make weapons that could slay a dragon. But only if the right warrior was using those weapons.
The warrior type could be strong against the dragon and fire type and weak against the steel, rock and electric type.

Btw the ice dragon was the only dragon that couldn't freeze 2 death.

As a Dragon type user, I am not to glad that this was the type they picked. I wanted them to add something that people would want, like light.

Why are people saying Fairy Types are puny and can't beat dragon?
Gardeivor is definetly not puny.
Also, Light type sounds too generic and in fairy tails, fairies had control over some dragons.

It's gonna be a good type and nothing is going to change it.

Personally I think this new fairy Pokémon type is a horrible idea  especially since it was created purely for the new eevee evolution. Furthermore this new type is unnecessary and in my opinion unwanted, and judging by the more recent fifth generation Pokémon, the creative on this new fairy type will be very low and little to nothing.   

Though fairies may affect the Dragons, it is still going to be easy to beat them. Something I made up- A TINYFAIRY appeared! *brings out Pokémon* Woops. You squashed it. Never mind then!
