Well it depends on how it is done. If it is a port (As in the exact same game just on a different system) then usually i see these as a waste of money. If it is an actual remake, and adds new things into the game such as more story (ass seen in the Final Fantasy III ds remake) more things to do, or anything else, it is probably worth a look at if u like the original. (although i feel some games are remade way too much, such a Final Fantasy games)

Depends on who is doing the remake. Ex, Resident Evil was remade for the Gamecube and was absolutely wonderful. It made it that much scarier and they were able to add some more stuff that they couldn't have for the PS version. On the other side of the coin though there was the Metal Gear Solid remake called Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. The graphics were okay but I didn't care for it. The cutscenes were horrid and way over the top. Snake doing flips and jumping around like he's in a Kung-fu movie? It's not how he rolls -__- The Goldeneye remake looks equally as horrid. If the remake is done right it can be amazing but half the time they eff it up.

I will usually except remakes with open arms, I like to see in what kinds of ways they update the game and how they can bring it to the next level, but there are games, when everybody knows, that a remake would be really dumb.

I am truthfully not very fond of any kind of remakes, whether it's videogame remakes, movie remakes, book remakes, or whatever else. Most of them just suck in my opinion, and I also don't really like games based on movies either. I did like the Chicken Little game though.

Keep 'em coming, gaming industry. Since some generous people are remaking Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus, I now love remakes. Besides, why not? It keeps those classics alive, and gives us a chance to play a game we missed out on. Now... If only I could see the light known as a Psychonauts remake.

I like remakes. I think that it introduces a new generation of kids to the old games, but, makes it a little easier on their eyes and such. It's also good for the people who first played them because usually the remakes are portable and aesthetically more eye pleasing. Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls introduced me to Final Fantasy. I was most pleased.

D1998 : Actually, I didn't like those games so much. I dunno why. Maybe it was the excessive use of the touch screen. Or maybe it was how the Pokawalker was just something extra they threw on. Or some third thing. I did say "sometimes better" in my last post.

I love remakes. For one, they always add in new features, and even put in new plot points. It just is awesome to replay the same game, but with different features. Sadly, I have yet to get the feeling of playing the same game with different features, as I rarely go out and buy games. I always end up blowing it on some metal CD I find at FYE... Why must that place sell death metal and black metal? Actually, can you guys thank them, because a certain Klawed is able to break guitar strings to music that somehow doesn't disturb my grandpa that's a preacher.

Bionic Commando remake looks pretty cool, but I think it's only for Xbox, I only have PS2 and PC. Same is the Prince of Persia remake, these remakes are remakes of the side scroller.

On PS2 I have the remake of Tomb Raider, very nice.
