...and uhm.... I'm sad. I grew up in the good old days where the series focused more on exploration and puzzle solving. While the recent game just heavily focuses on storyline and cheap action scenes. Granted, there is some puzzle solving here and there, but you can consider them  solved once you pressed a simple button to make Lara 'examine the environment'. I love it how in my day, we actually had to solve puzzles. I loved the original Tomb Raider series.

Yeah, I guess Crystal Dynamics where going for a story-based game, revealing Lara's heavy past. But still... I'm so sad. It's just one game, but it's still so sad.

I haven't played a Tomb Raider game in six years but I decided to drop the series I been trying to get the latest one recently though and thanks to you I might not even get it now.

austipokedude : If you were really looking forward to it, perhaps you shouldn't let my view keep you from buying it, it got really good reviews. If you're an action-ish guy or like to play good story-driven games, by all means give this a try. I personally didn't like the recent Tomb Raider though.

You'd think with people doing lets plays of games all over the place that they would have put more "meat and potatoes" into a game to avoid people watching those things and spending more cash to play them.

Imagine an entire generation of gamers who know no challenge till they pick up a fighting game.
I hope that is not what the future is going to bring.

Thanks for the tip on Tomb Raider. Shame. I missed the Tomb Raider fans. They always tended to have a particular brand of humor.
